1. I suppose the estates of John Lennon and George Harrison will just agree it as a formality but it must in someway be instigated by Paul and Ringo.....and Paul certainly isn't skint.

Wow

Telly is buggered?
3. I bought Book of Souls yesterday. First Maiden album i've bought since Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.....i like the album so far but do agree there is definitely something lacking in production.
4. Holiday in Cambodia - DKs Urban Guerilla - Hawkwind
5. It's like deja vu.....lol
6. Tone is subjective as is playing style.....i could make do with both
7. Fantastic video and some great playing from Ox showing just how musical the bass can be. I love his playing style and could only ever aspire to his capability. Thanks for posting this 👍
8. I think the Mexican instruments get a bad rap from earlier built basses but all of the MIMs i've tried recently have been top quality. Fender have clearly worked on their QC. I'd also like to think that they pay their Mex workers a decent wage too (maybe too much to hope there).
9.
Thanks for the suggestion and I'm glad it worked for you! But I checked that fairly early on, along with any other screws and fixings I could think of. A combination of new saddle screws, intonation screw springs and Loctite Blue seem to be working for me, at least for now.
I always use Loctite screwlock on the saddles too.....good stuff!
10. Having just done some mods on my cheapy Squier JB (Frank Bello Sig) i had some string rattle too which i couldn't get to the bottom of. Took a good look all over the bass and eventually tightened all the tuning peg fixing screws.....which didn't look loose at all and it seems to have cured it 😊
11. GLWTS Axesrus have Hipshot Vintage bridges in stock which should be more appropriate for you.
12. I have just ordered a PJ set of these to fit in a Squier Frank Bello. It already has a KiOgon parallel series harness so it should be interesting.....by all accounts they give a lot of bang for the buck!
13. I took 20 years off and when i picked up the bass again i played the first ever bassline i learned no trouble..... It was Money by Pink Floyd. But it is amazing what the mind retains.
14. Yes i'm.thinking black too.....probably get a Gotoh as they are fairly reasonable in price and good quality.
15. A Series / Parallel wiring kit for my Squier PJ.....a pm from me out of the blue and the wheels were in motion.....Quite literally it was made and in the post. Top quality components and soldering and clear instructions. More than happy Will definitely use again Thank you.....6
16. KiOgon Series / Parallel harness ordered.....😊 Chrome or black Gotoh bridge? Top nut will have to wait for now.
17.
If I ever form a funk band it will be called Clusterfunk, so you can't have that!
Call it Fusterclunk then.....
18.
Or even easier idea is too use a set of roundwounds of the same size as your current strings to file the nut slot it takes a while and you have to be careful not to mark the fretboard, this is good for small adjustments. You can also use the strings your using just give them a clean after. Best to wear gloves else you will get blisters and the string cutting the nut gets hot!
You can protect the fret board with masking tape.
19. I do this.....i just about manage to pull it off. It does add to playing mistakes in my case without doubt but not that many that it becomes too untidy.
20. This JB looks cool..... I hope to start the strip down and rebuild on mine soon.
21. The GFB aka The Gritty Funk Band
22. This aquisition may mean there is no project lol
23. Well i wanted a Jazz Bass and i managed to pick this up in the local Crack Converts...... A Squier 2007 Frank Bello Signature Jazz Bass with PJ pickups in very very good condition barring a few marks to the back of the body. I paid £100 so don't know how good a deal that is but i'm happy with it so far.
24. Your finished bass looks cool. Nice one 👍👍 Thank you for the useful information
25. Thank you Rumple. The neck pocket is one of my concerns. I'm likely to use a J&D body (if i ever start this project) and source a maple Fender Jazz neck so hopefully the fit can be made good as too much of a gap would play on my mind lol
