1. Just bought one from PMT in Romford.....hope they work as most clip ons aren't that good.
2. We are more in the when we fancy it club to be honest. The whole band work a myriad of shifts and the band is a hobby to enjoy. We rehearse fortnightly most when not gigging and increase where appropriate for gigs. Our band is a tribute act so we have a big back catalogue we can use and learn if need be but we do it to suit us
3.
Last night my right hand cramped up a couple of songs from the end of the gig, quite painful in fact! It has happened a couple of times before! Wondered if any one else suffers from this?
Hand stretches are important and so is hydration. Also look up about lactic acid build up and how Vitamin C can help Also be aware that medical issues need to be looked at by a Doctor. Best wishes
4. Last night.....the venue was sweltering but to be fair i wear shorts for most gigs anyway.....unless i choose to wear Turkish trousers
5. Benefit gig for Nepal last night at the Plough & Harrow in Leytonstone.....sound man was excellent, the crowd wasn't as big as we would have liked (are they ever?) but a good energy filled atmosphere and the P-Bass got its baptism of fire. Good night and apparently enjoyed by all.
6. Auction it and give the money to charity.
7. For Metal i definitely would look to Geezer Butler.
8. I am being treated for something very similar at the moment and the GP gave me a nasal steroid spray which appears to be helping. She didn't say exactly what the problem was but said it was linked to inflammation in the Ear, Nose, Throat. Hope this helps.....definitely speak to your GP
9. That is a very cool looking bass....nice work!
10. In some of the venues i've played if all the bands brought their own kit there'd be no room for punters.....😯
11. Listen to Thin Lizzy' Dancing in the Moonlight. A nice Phil Lynott bassline that is fairly easy to learn. All the best with your learning journey
12. A nice wide suede backed strap normally helps a lot.
13. Can we not arrange a bass relay and deliver it? Helps out the OP and the owner.....and is just a nice thing to do
14. @Fisheth don't apologise. Ask whatever you want. I'm sure some that have read a question that is of the same ilk as has been asked before will get over it.
15. Not to be rushed now.....lol
16.
Shell Pink? Half-arsed, insipid excuse for pink. This is pink:
I feel that this really would benefit from a contrasting pink pickguard
17. Looks good.....i think a mint green pickguard
18.
Not our drummer, carpet or stage but you get the idea.
So that's the jazz kit but where is the metal set up?
19. Was this desert island once a storage dump for the rum smugglers? If so i won't need a bass
20.
Yup.
I'll have it.....i'm in Central London Tuesday if you are around. Will pm you 👍
21. Is the Mooer Sweeper still available please?
22.
I know one or two of the Swindon area HA, decent enough blokes, but certainly don't take any nonsense.
I remember being at a gig 20 odd years ago with a load of my mates for my 21st birthday. There were a load of HA Prospects there causing the punters at the gig a load of aggravation giving it the big i am because they were wearing colours. Anyway they picked on the wrong one or two in my group of mates and the whole place exploded into a mass brawl.....there were over 30 of us there that night. Best birthday ever tbh lol. Oh.....And the band played on!
23. I don't believe we've ever had the volume higher than 2 for gigs with the Traynor.....the thing is so bloody loud!
24. Our guitarist uses a very old Traynor 2x12 80w valve combo. I'm led to believe that they are a copy essentially of the Fender. Is that correct?
