Up to my mid 30's I still made an attempt but these days after being subjected to 80's AOR for 12-14hrs at work all I carve is silence.

Just heard this myself. Damn Was playing Dio songs on Friday night.
-
Had that happen to me once. Years back a fella messaged me about postage for a U2 I pod. As I've never sold anything on eBay it was new to me.Turned out I had 50 of them for sale

Heard the price range earlier $999 to $1599. Will this mean £650 to £1100 ? Can't see it myself Hearing grumblings from America already. " It costs more than a used USA Cirrus ! " " wish they were made in Mississippi " They seem to miss the fact there's probably 50 Fenders sold in the US for every Peavey. Why would they take the trouble to re-open a factory and retrain an expensive workforce for a tiny market ? Oh I forgot no market exists outside of the US,silly me
I thought for one moment . . . !
Not for one second Steve That's no even a mibbe !! Geo I have both BXP and USA Cirrus and they're great basses, recommended a BXP to a Canadian fella week before Christmas. He did 1 rehearsal with it then 2 4hr gigs. I'm not one for any BXP vs USA mallarky, just glad to see Peavey expanding the range again.

Just saw Peavey have announced the return of the Cirrus. Back to 35" scale and looking the same as the USA models. Think it's still made in the Far East and no idea of a price but I wonder if any Americans will buy it ? Plenty complained when it was dropped but if they didn't buy when it was made in the States what did they expect ? http://peavey.com/news/article.cfm/action/view/id/840/cat/1/article.cfm

This morning I've spotted the ideal year of birth (or a near as damnit ) bass. Trouble is I'm no where near Hasland I'm looking for some kind soul to collect this prized object for me,whip the neck off and wrap the thing up for a courier. By that you can imagine it's in a bit of a state. Any help would be welcome. Here's the ad https://www.gumtree....-art/1150100500 Cheers KB. P.S Stuck on a shop-fit job all week so I'm only able to check-in now and again.

Precisions - How do you justify having two (or more!)?
kodiakblair replied to jbasst's topic in Bass Guitars
You moving somewhere with more spaces for basses KB?
That's what I'm afraid of Rob.Will more space lead to more bass ? I don't know much physics. Is there a Law that says X amount of bass concentrated in 1 place will cause implosion ? -

drTStingray Normally I'd agree with you 100% but with a house move happening soon I'm having trouble with that bold statement. 2 or 3 weeks though I'll be proudly wearing the T shirt -
OK then, how do justify having more than thirty..?
Ehh.. Is this a trick question ? Asked the ginger tom. He says it's OK -

Had the same with PF on Hogmanay. Called in the morning and was told delivery was on,by 2.30pm I checked tracking " delivery attempt at 12.30pm failed ". Course there was no card, depot said they'd get driver to turnaround and try again. On Hogmanay !! no chance. Complained on their FB page, couple of fellas tried to help and despite being told Monday the 4th was a holiday,it was there Monday morning Used UPS last week via Interparcel. Happy to report completely trouble free -

Chris Be afraid, very afraid ! 13's not even close Oh Steve I'm chuffed to bits with the Cirrus. It's that braw I've had to use some of your photos along with mine to show it off properly With full disclosure of course.

Thanks Lads. Doc J The Sarzo neck is amazing,it just fits my hand perfectly.Music-Point.DE had it set up just right.Absolutely stunning bass, workmanship is first class. It's ticking all the boxes So why am I having trouble MY tone First hour or so I downloaded the manual and played around a bit. Next day I got some Whitesnake and played along, course it blended in no problem. I'll persevere of course and you know yourself it can be any number of factors, even just frame of mind.I'm better being honest than saying everything is rosy out the box. The Cirrus on the other hand was a breeze. Already having the BXP I knew what to expect. Tonewise there's very little between them but the single saddle bridge on the BXP ain't a good idea. On the Millennium BXP's it's fine as you shim the neck, got fag paper high action on the Indonesian built one But the Cirrus I think trimming the height of each saddle is the only way. After playing the USA model It'd be daft not to set the BXP as near the same. Mark it should be a shoo-in on the new place but I'm waiting on the bank giving the OK. Living room is twice the size of the present one,I'll be able to get all the Peaveys in for a family photo but not their cousins and kin.Don't think there's a wide angle lens big enough for that

Obscure Musical Backwaters - The Great SGC Nanyo Thread
kodiakblair replied to Happy Jack's topic in Bass Guitars
Well this fella appears kinda shabby in the present company but he's had a hard life. Rescued from Victor " Buy us a knife big man " Morris 20 odd year back. -
So the mystery to 196 continues !!

Hope you got the bus this morning Cameron It's a very scary number, I'm 5 or 6 short of a full suit.

Honestly I think these are the last When the Resolite joined the clan here I put things on hold, real life was getting a bit much. So I resigned myself to finding a new home and transport, both needed to be big enough for the Blair bass clan and the ginger tom.End of January deadline was looming. Then Mark broke my resolve on Christmas Eve In a weakened state posts start appearing " 2016 What Bass ? and I think what the hell if I'm getting saddled with housing and transport costs I'm going out with a bang. While sourcing a Hondo II bridge from an American fella I spy a Sarzo in Germany, with 22 folk watching it a decision was needed. Reminding myself I'd been off the fags for 9 month I bought it,then emboldened by this liberated thinking I made an offer to Mr H for his beautiful Cirrus. Yesterday the house was 99% certain, car was bought, insured & taxed and the Cirrus arrived after a completely trouble free purchase from Mr H I'd intended doing just one NBD so waited on the Cirrus,I've had the Sarzo nearly a week. Bowie's death yesterday put paid to that, just didn't feel right The Sarzo oozes class and for a 25 year old bass is in fantastic condition. Same goes for the Cirrus, another beautiful instrument,so easy to dial in tones too. Overdid things at the weekend so my CTS and arthritis is giving me merry hell but expect an A/B between the BXP Cirrus and the USA model,Roto Nexus are going on both to make things even. kodiakblair replied to Annoying Twit's topic in Bass Guitars
Mr Zed That's fantastic, scratchplate was a brilliant idea and brings the bass to life visually. Does anybody believe when you say it was £70 all in ? Answers somewhere between " Aye right !! " and " F... off " most likely. Congratulations on a stunning bass. -
Bought the Cirrus from Steve. Absolute Gem of a fella to deal with. Plenty of communication and updates, even photographs of the packed bass. Whole deal went smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommended BC'er.
