1. Jon's the man to ask for that Donny. He reckons it's Korean.
2. Spotted that one Donny. Unsurprisingly so did Bassassin
3. Saw Lozz was selling a Behringer head but it was collection only due to the weight. Asked the fine fella if he'd consider couriers and he said "No Problem ". Arranged everything his end Whole thing was done and dusted in 3 messages. Even better is the 1st contact was on Tuesday night and the Head arrived Thursday afternoon. Fantastic fella to deal with.
4.
I would love a JG series Wal... In the unlikely event one of the 46 were to surface
Thanks for the reminder about selling mine Rob
5. Top Man is Ade. Helped him out with a wee thing and apart from the courier making an arse of the tracking it went great. Look forward to dealing with him again.
6. Having never played an SX or Westfield I couldn't say but I have owned 10 Harley Bentons The basic PB-20 I preferred to the Squier Affiniity P-bass,it has a Poplar body same as some of my Peaveys. Young lad at Stirling Uni uses it now on his symphonic metal recording tuned BEAD. BZ-4000-NT which is the top tier series was another good bass, build quality and features were fantastic, JB-75 is a nice jazz bass,HB-60 performed like my last semi hollow. Honestly I've yet to play a bad HB bass, no complaints on the RB-414 itself but the Ric inspired design wasn't for me. The reason they're so affordable is not so much cost cutting but lower profit margins + high volumes of sales. Thomann buy direct so there's no middle man adding his costs,no sales reps or advertising. A friend of mine set up a Harley Benton forum, plenty satisfied owners there an I'm sure 1 or 2 will have had Westfields or SX's. Here's the link if you fancy checking it out. http://theharleybentonclub.proboards.com/
7. Thanks Flat Eric. Just picked up the B-Quad on Wednesday. No use for the stereo output but I'm in love with graphite neck,1st time I've had one. Credit for the photo has to go to my Pal
8. Finally got a friend round to take the Clan Gathering photo After much moving of furniture we got them all in frame, still not swapped the switches on one of the T-40s so it's missing,Cirrus should have changed places with the Dyna to get seen better. It's a big picture so I've went the Photobucket route, just click the photo. Hope you folks enjoy it
9. Had mine a couple of years now and absolutely love it,so much so I got another 2. 1st one sports Status Hot Wire nylon, plays and sounds fantastic. 2nd went to a friend for his 40th,he went for Chromes. 3rd I fancied a Tele look but ended using a Peavey ferrite instead. Another fella bought Thunderbird's one with a Duncan in it but after I sent him my spare Wilkinson he went with that, same tone as the SD but it's louder. Plenty of basses here but that PB-50 probably sees more use than the others.Best £70 I spent in years
10. Thought it was over after picking up a B-Quad yesterday then I see Dave Konig's post of a Super-P with the Stinger preamp and coil tap. Guess I'll be thinking of adding a Stinger now.
11. Been reading a book on Southern Soul and the few times The Beatles get mentioned it's a very luke warm opinion. Guess you had to be there in the South not to get it.
12. I was on another forum and a fella from Romania was looking for advice on improving his bass/swapping the preamp. Says he doesn't know anybody local he could talk to or to do the work. So can anyone suggest who he can contact. Cheers KB

Mark had a set of TI's for sale at the weekend but by the time I got in touch they were sold A small matter like that doesn't stop him though A set was taken off another bass and sent on pronto, set of Rotos got slipped in too. The Man's a Star, Always a pleasure dealing with Mark. Cheers
14. Mick saw my plea for Status Hot Wire strings. He called Status to find out stock levels then sent me a message, also recommended them to newcomer The Hat. Upshot was Mick got 2 sets,I got 2 sets,The Hat got 1 set and Status now have sold out of them. I count at least 5 lives enriched by his actions today What a great Fella.
15.
I did Kodiak, he was the one that told me to lol !
Excellent choice there The Hat. Glad I never went for the 3 now
16. Keep asking questions, if folks think it's a pain they don't have to answer. Hope you didn't buy the last pack of Status Hot Wire nylons ? TheGreek will be most upset
17. Used RS66's for years then tried a set of RS Nexus, brilliant strings. There was a dodgy batch a few year back, packaging company changed the paper sleeves to a moisture retaining paper, all sorted out now as the paper sleeves were changed to bags. Used the nylon ones too for a number of years.
18. There's been quite the upsurge in shorties last few years, I like 35" scale and 12lb basses but I've got one of the Harley Benton HB-60 VW semi hollow's. Look for threads about the Chowny bass or Scott Whitley's SWB-1,Scott's website is great. No way short scales are toys.
19. Found many on eBay including the Tesco's value one.
20. Been aware of Nik West for a year or so. Think the lass is great.
21. Down to 36 !!! There's near that in Peaveys If the 3 for sale don't move I have space for 1 more. OK 2 if I push the A-frames closer together
22. Prefer not to say how many 3 left for Spain on Monday & 3 are up for sale,1 was given as a birthday present, another is spoken for. None of which has made any real impact. @CamdenRob My new place has a cupboard over the stairs could hold 36 cases easy.
