My PB-50 turned up last week as well. No problems with jack sockets,stiff tuners or pots. The tape round the pickup is showing some copper and the cloth covering on the wire is frayed but hardly the end of the world. The volume of the E is a lot louder than the other strings and it appears to be set as low as it can go. I bought it to use the body after I made a hash of routing the other PB-50 but have since discovered a Peavey SF will cover that mess As the scratchplate is a 3 ply I might chamfer the edge to improve the look and play around with the pickup. Certainly no complaints and the £20 Adam Hall power strip I also ordered served 2 purposes. 1. neatly filled the 1U gap in the rack. 2.Used all the EEC leads I had spare and only 1 cable hanging out the rack. With voucher and delivery 56 euro. What's that £40 ? Bargain

No buyers remorse for me. Wanted to see if I'd get on better with the fretless bass uke than my fretted one. Never owed an acoustic bass so got one. £20 for a PB-20 to try a set of F# strings,another PB-50 in case I make a mess of a project bass and the JB-75 was my entry into dekos. All told maybe £150,spread over a year. All served a purpose.

I have one of the sunburst with the "melted wax" scratchplate and RW fretboard. Bought as a deko last year for £33,great bit of kit. Yes it does have some weight but then so do my T-40s Congratulations on your NHBD

@3below A friend did say soon folks will be buying new basses rather than change strings The are some great bits of kit out now though for much cheapness.

@TheButler Good on you. Might have been a grey area technically but I never felt it was above-board.

Could be the extent of the deko reason. I've saw the ukes listed at 2 different prices and they do the same with b-stock. Course could just be anti-leftie bias
