I find FB works well. Thursday a fella posted his Bass Collection 5'er on the Glasgow gear page, told the lad I'd shared his ad on the Nanyo owners page. Seller sent me a message saying thanks,he had a buyer from the Nanyo page within minutes. ๐

Can't say I've noticed any "404" occurring. Replied to easy 30 posts/messages there today. -
I'll keep my eyes peeled for a lefty and give yo a shout. They go for pennies these days,a 5 string outside Glasgow posted for ยฃ180 last night.

Damn spelling and damn asking questions in English โน๏ธ Meant to say "Did BC do a bass similar to the Hot Slapper " or maybe it was "Didn't know BC did a model similar to the Hot Snapper"

Unlucky SC ๐ถ

Didn't BC do a model similar to the Hot Slapper ? Though I've a lot of history with the white BC I still prefer the Maniac on the right. Washburn Wannabes didn't quite cut it ๐

Aye it's a pretty thing. Piezo circuit is the same as my TWB-4Z ๐ VSN Guitars in Canada are the only folk I know stock Tune, don't have the fretless ATM so it's an email to Ned telling to get one ๐ Not sure of a price but the most expensive is a 6 string leftie Hatsun for ยฃ800. Should give you a rough idea ๐ https://www.vsnguitars.com/brands/Tune--Guitar-Technology.html

Cheers @Reggaebass I've a few US basses from the same era and in terms of design/finish etc they're pretty dated ๐คฃ

Any I hear of and you'll get the shout Mick ๐ Already decided that Rob. The fretless Tune,Vigiers and paisley P-bass are coming. Bucket list items from back in my teens ๐ One of the Harley Benton PB-50's will be staying too ๐ฎ Should have room for 1 more ๐ค

I do that Rob ๐ Think I might flood the market with Peaveys this year. Fancy living on the water and space is tight on a narrow boat ๐

Cheers @TheRev Saved me typing and posting photos ๐

Tune Guitar Tech in Korea offer lefties but they are a production line only outfit. They do just the 1 fretless model, it has a left hand version but it's nothing like the Tune Maniacs. https://www.tuneguitars.com/wb-page1 Tune Guitar Maniac in Japan .... I'd expect them to offer left hand,it's a luthier shop doing fancy Fender copies. Left hand basses would be a doodle. I suspect the preamp is the problem, those are PCB units. Could be a special run required for left handers.

@BassBunny Aye,there's some grand products out there for little outlay ๐

Entwistle JBXN are ยฃ42 for the pair. Instead of over-winding to increase output the super strong magnets do the work ๐ Expect some fettling to get them to fit. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Entwistle-JBXN-pickup-for-bass-guitar-neodymium-designed-by-Alan-Entwistle/333355487464?hash=item4d9d8910e8:m:ml6RunQ5q4ldDFg1P_ohc0Q Grab an EQ pedal with the change ๐

This weekend it's been a Half Man Half Biscuit marathon ๐ -
No starving bairns in your future ๐ TUNE Guitar Maniac in Japan appear prejudice against lefties ๐ฎ Nothing in their custom options hints at left hand ๐ Good news is you can stop torturing yourself, they stopped making the extended board at least 30 year back ๐

The Thunder II also appeared as a 32" scale J/J. Think when that got released the P/J Thunder II was renamed Thunder III. Quick check on the Westone forum. 1983 the P/J Thunder II became the Thunder III
-
I had the plain Thunder 1,great sounding bass. Don't remember it being heavy but that doesn't mean it wasn't ๐ Heavy is defined by the individual involved๐
-
Though the BC Rich NJ series were built in Japan I'm pretty sure it wasn't at the Matsu factory.
-
The Thunder II was P/P . Same shape and construction.
-
Couple of my T40's weigh more as does my Cabronita slab body. It's a baw hair heavier than the pine slab body ๐ Great balance to it on a strap, I find that generally rules out any weight concerns ๐

Aye . It was really thoughtful of the lad. Got through 2019 with only 1 bass bought ๐ I'm the very model of restraint these days ๐ There's a series/parallel switch and a phase in/out,with the pickup selector that's 7 settings. Other mini switch is active/passive ๐ EQ is boost only. No idea why it's 18v ๐
