1. I've never been a Kiss fan. Know very little about them TBH but I saw them at the Glasgow Apollo mid 80's. Bloody good live band I thought. Twas a strange night though. Free tickets,no box office staff,no security men or bouncers and the support act Bon Jovi wore more make up than Kiss I'd like to stress I was NOT there to see Bon Jovi .
2. I spent quite a few years without my own bass. I'd play whatever was to hand regardless of scale length, weight, neck thickness or string type. Found it a good experience but granted I'm not the most technical of players so just got on with it. I'd take any bass over no bass
3. Get a daisy chain power supply like this one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/9V-GUITAR-EFFECT-PEDAL-POWER-SUPPLY-ADAPTER-5-WAY-DAISY-CHAIN-FOR-BOSS-PSA-240-/161253927356?hash=item258b7ba9bc:g:LusAAOxy66pRughQ You can also just get the splitter cable. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-4-5-WAY-GUITAR-EFFECTS-PEDAL-9V-DAISY-CHAIN-POWER-SUPPLY-CABLE-SPLITTER-LEAD-/160879467466?hash=item257529dbca:g:w~cAAOxyYYlRugdO
4. Eden WTDI arrived this week from John. No messing about, the fella's a pleasure to deal with. Wouldn't hesitate to do business with again. Credit to BC.
5. Aye. My good brother JACink came up that idea while suffering a post xmas hang over. With folk from Brazil, across to Europe, down to Africa, then on to India it's come on well the last couple of years. Have you got a number yet ? Don't see you on the back-up list.
6.
What does it ship with? Also... Haven't I seen you somewhere else?
No idea what they string them with,if it was D'Addarios there'd be a tag saying so.Dare say you've seen me before, I do turn up in the strangest places
7. Great looking bass Mark. Had one myself. Liked how it sounded with Fender flats, Rotobass nickel roundwounds were good too.
8. I was the same.Only ever on BC. Adblocker,Ublock and a Blocksite extension all running. Copied and pasted all pop-ups to the blocksite thing. Since the Net Filter.2 showed up in the malware software and was deleted I've been trouble free.
9. Seem to remember Jazz basses came strung with flats.
10. It's a Connolly-2 Punk bass from Krappy Guitars. 8th down right hand side. http://www.krappyguitars.com/punkbass.html Krappy is even cheaper than Wishbass. $95 for a one string fretless
11.
That's a lot of bass for little money.
Agreed and doesn't bode well for me if I decide to sell mine
12. Ma pal's ex got singing lessons in Glasgow, I'll get him to ask her who it was with.
13. $1600 for a B-Quad ?? I definitely need to up my gear insurance
14. Just want to let my good brother nerkoids know I've once again asked the Harley Benton players to email Thomann regarding the lack of left handed models.
15. I'm with Cato on it being a USA only matter. RIC were pretty on the ball but forgot about Australia that's why Pitbull can sell kits legally.
16. If the bass is getting classed as "a plant" the license fee varies from £31 to £88. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/567085/cites-gn11.pdf Maybe you and the seller can come to an arrangement.
17. I was about to say Ms Priscilla Snake is insane but viewing her other items, Wilson bass £650 , I better up my insurance pronto Perhaps I should offer her my services to aid buying this "Weltron" ? https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/vintage-1960-s-weltron-bass-/1223072656 Given her asking prices, a fee of £250 would suffice.
18. I'm with tauzero on the Peavey Grind or maybe a Peavey Zephyr 5. My Grind is one of the Vietnamese built ones,it plays and sounds a damn sight better than my USA Grind.
19. A wee mixer with USB does the trick. I use the Behringer Q502 USB but there's plenty others. There's guitar to USB cables too but I never got then to work right.
20. Good shout on the MK1 Fury.
21. Thomann won't send anything with rosewood to the USA if it costs less than 990 euro, the paperwork must take a fair bit of time. Their flat shipping fee to the USA is 30 euro for orders weighing less than 31Kg.
22. They one of the brands owned by KHL in Korea. There's a fella on Talkbass named gebass6 seems quite clued up on them. Here's a link to a recent thread regarding them, might be of some use to you. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/wolf-bass-huh.1268293/
23. Ironbar Fingers crossed they change the board to a look-a-like.
