1. Afraid that's out of my territory so I can only wish you well in the search. Get yourself to Bass Direct or the Gallery. Doubt there's much outwith your budget so play them all. Take your time deciding and enjoy the experience. Looking forward to seeing your NBD.
2. Sorry to about that fishfry.I was out of order there. You played a gig and nobody could hear you. I'd be pissed off too. What did the sound guy say was up ?
3. Half ?? With that kind of budget you could get anything you want built. Half again should easy get you another vintage Fender. Serious money you're talking.
4. Here you go http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EX-PINO-PALLADINO-FENDER-JAZZ-BASS-STACK-KNOB-1961-VINTAGE-FENDER-BASS-WHO-/391434650065?hash=item5b2352c1d1:g:xfwAAOSwopRYhkWi Vintage, jazz, lot of money ticks all boxes
5. And why comment on a Jazz bass when the PB-50 is the topic ? My two here, fretboard is starting to age on the left hand one, right hand has a lovely almost roast maple grain.
6. Good friendly staff in Scayles Edinburgh. I only wanted a 9v daisy chain but they still offered to plug in any bass I fancied. Spotted a double bass mute I'd been after too, less than Thomann's price.
7.
I thought you meant different versions of the T bass!!!
No. Lucky there, just 3 or 4. Toasters & Blades, Fretless and there's also a Rosewood fretboard version.
8.
Can you expand please?
Simple really. One Peavey generally leads to another. Your G-bass lead to white T40 which lead to another T40 and bids on T45 & T20. If you don't count factory fretless,5 & 6 string options and variations like Ferrites to VFL pickups then there's at least 24 Peavey models for you to explore.
9. I'll just PM you regarding the Zephyr ones .
10. "Am now bidding on a T45 and a T20." Dangerous game, at least 24 different models were built in the USA alone
11. Aye,saw that. He had it on the FB gear page tae. Got yersel a bargain there.
12. Donny. Was that the one in Edinburgh ?
13. Bloody hell ! If the pawn is selling it for £90 then I don't want to think how little they gave you.
14. Holy Smokes !! the Price !! I remember the review in Guitarist mag " perfect for those Vampire Visigoths from Beyond the Veil gigs " I thought it was great that a Japanese company felt confident enough to tackle BC Rich's market. Has anybody checked his other items ? Bloke's sitting on a fortune.
15. Get a Les Paul key or a long thinwall 5/16th socket.
16. New lease of life for under a tenner !!! I like the way you think Burrito :-)
17. Half man half biscuit springs to mind but because after repeated listening in the works van the young fellas wanted mix tapes, mix CDs really it was 2007. Yet to meet anyone else but with the Serious Drinking ep "Country Girl became drug & sex Punk "
18. 'You want thump? LaBella flatwounds are the winners here; in my opinion.' I'll go with that but for further " Thump" I'll raise you La Bella nylon tapes
19. Well in my case I dismiss stupid ones.
20.
Fail! It's 2017 grandad!
So we dismiss everything before your generation eh, probably think you invented sex too.
21. Beat me to it dannybuoy
22.
For The Win.
You lost me there I'm afraid. edit Just googled that. Lucky for me that's not the common meaning with folks I know, would get strange looks having " For the win " tattooed across the back of my hand.
23. What do you think "FTW" means ? It's been on some bikers leathers since the 60s
24. I should probably regret selling my Wal JG custom with the leather scratchplate but it was much more bass than I needed. Also it's been gone 27 year. The bass I do regret was my Thompson P-bass,the Thompson here were Glasgow piano & organ sellers. Easy 12lb and a real baseball bat neck, after learning on that I could play anything. First real bass as the 3 string semi-hollow with nailed on pickup and Kay Tulip bass don't count. Sold to ???? Music Exchange in London after a trip there ended in poverty.
25. La Bellas "F**k the World" ?? Great strings but bit extreme don't you think.
