1. Well Americans don't understand satire. Better add that to the long list of things
2. Being bored over the holidays I thought I'd try a few pedals. Ended up with a bunch of cheap pedals Mooer,Nux,Donner etc and a Rowin noise gate arrived today,£18 delivered. http://www.ebay.co.u...%3D282231019088 Now I've never used a noise gate before but I'm guessing setting it anywhere between 12 and 6 clockwise shouldn't kill the sound completely. Basically anything -29dB to +10dB is silent. Is this normal or duff pedal ? Cheers KB

Was needing somebody to purchase a bass for me and within minutes of me correcting the location Martin got in touch. Couple of hours later and he's back in touch saying it's all organised, gets collected tomorrow and posted later in the week What a Great fella.
5.
Do you mean Warrington? Never heard of Warlington and neither has Google!
That will be because I'm an eejit and put the wrong name in the post. Not surprised nobody replied when the place doesn't exist. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
6. I hear Banjo Kid from Deliverance is playing ! Must be true as I read it in the Hard Times. http://thehardtimes....y-inauguration/
7. Put this is the status updates but thought I'd try here as status doesn't show on mobiles. Does there anybody live near Warlingham, and if they do would they be prepared to get a bass for me ? The seller won't post it and the nearest I'll get is Manchester this Thursday. I'm asking a big favour here as said bass would also need boxed and couriered. Can't do a bank transfer ATM so the kind soul would need a Paypal account so I can square them up. Cheers
8. This fella popped up on the Peavey FB page, just playing along to tunes. Impressive player and gets great tone from his Zephyr 5. Lad's from Ghana so if you like African tunes give it a listen. https://www.facebook...64963346876134/ edit Sorry missed the " from Italy " bit
9. With all those natural laws being broken at one time ! How did the world not end. ?

11. The fella didn't buy it hoping to sound like a Ric. He just wanted a cool looking white bass to wear slung low while banging out root notes. Sounded like me in my younger days so I was happy to help.
12. C'mon Mark What's 320 mile ? Don't say £40 worth of fuel :-)
13. £40 and nobody's bought it ? Great basses even with gnaw marks. Sounds brilliant with flats or tapes. Got my 2 set up like that. Have a bump for a bargain.
14. I'm pretty sure the Foundation is with bassmachine2112. He did a NBD on it
15. My Retrovibe RV4 goes to a new home today. Mixed feelings. It never sounded like a Ric and only a very drunk person would think it looked like one. Still don't think of it as a faker. Nice enough bass though
16. I'm no good at this. Took me 6 pages before I found one. Vigier Passion 2 ! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/294226-vigier-passion-2-ultra-light-weight-31-kg-sold/ Course it was sold.
17. Hard to find a room big enough for Clan Peavey let alone a settee Nearly every model Peavey released in 4 or 5 strings.
18. A Bass I had delivered from Japan had free delivery. Customs ticket only showed value and that's all I paid duty on.
19. I'll keep an eye on this thread but reckon it'll turn out fine. If you pay a decent sized sum to a fella making a decent profit everybody should be happy. It's when folks charge £100-£200 for a £10-£20 guitar problems arise. I'll wish you luck but don't think you'll need it.
20. 2017 looks like it's going to be fairly GAS free Not surprised 2016 was a helluva year for it The one omission in my Peavey collection should be filled by Feb. The 32 year hunt for the fretless Bass Maniac ended and I finally bought a DB. Not much left for 2017 though I've always fancied a Vigier so never say never.
21. The Cat's never had a job for as long as I've known him. It's down to me to get presents for both of us. This year it's a joint present. He gets loads of cheap pedals and I get a Diago Gigman pedalboard on sleep in.
22. I know this particular bass well and agree it's a great player. GLWTS
23. I know a fella over in the States who's did 5 string Peavey T40s. Used monorail saddles, ground to fit the T40 bridge
24. According to quite few threads in America, Fender's just redoing their website before NAMM so models disappear for days then reappear. Happens every year apparently.
