1. I enjoy it especially when its with someone new
2. I like it a lot. I have it delivered every month and always enjoy having a good read through it
3.
I stumbled across these guys on Jools Holland last night.. What a sound! Best two piece band i've ever heard, blows Blood Red Shoes and The Black Keys out of the water IMO.
Nah man, the Black Keys are the masters of the two piece act!
4. I like rock music above all, so consequently, I love this band. I couldn't care if there was two or six of them. They sound great!
5. I always thought they were cheap and nasty as you rarely see them being used these days, plus they always seem to be short
6. Its a hard one as the band seem to be pretty successful, at least bringing out two albums is a lot more successful than most bands. I would tread carefully as you don't want to chuck it and then see them on Jools Holland performing their latest ska hit, with no you playing your root notes. Then again , you don't want to be stuck with a pair of arseholes who put you down all the time. It seems strange for a band to completely change direction after one album. They run the risk of losing their fanbase. Only you will know if its time to say enough
7. [sub]Its all down to taste innit? I think they stink looks wise....sorry [/sub]
8. [sub]Allright Bear [/sub]
9.
He bi-amps through a bass rig and a guitar rig. I assume he splits the signal at a certain frequency so that the lower frequencies are processed by the bass rig and the higher ones by the guitar rig and then blends it back together to create his incredible tone! Truckstop
Aha, so that's how it is done.
10. [sup]How does he get that sound on the bass? Any one know? My mate says he is going through a bass amp and a guitar amp , but a bass through a guitar amp still sounds like a bass [/sup]
11. I cancelled my Sky subscription and this is the only thing I miss. The ability to record Jools show
12.
http://dangerousmind...a_from_thailand
That's strangely relaxing. I enjoyed that!
13. We get paid 300 quid a gig. I thought that was normal for venues who want to put music on. There is a band here who are undercutting every other band and consequently, getting more gigs, which is a bummer after everyone else has sweated for years to get a decent payment. I have heard some places make bands pay to play, but certainly where we are, theres no such set up. As for this venue. They are being very unreasonable . I would put their windows in!

Valve Warmth

I love the sound of my Ampeg valve head but the weight is. bloody killing me!
15.
I have to say at home I only play the upright. At the moment all my gigs are on bass guitar, but it hardly seems worth practising, it's pretty straightforward.
Well get you then !!!
16. From all the varying responses, it seems that, as with most things, its all down to taste, innit?
17. Bump no. 2I would love to snap it up but have just bought a Spector euro and have a leak under my floor at home, so no basses for a bit
18.
no not tried that, is it better than Audacity? Just checked loads of tabs on the net, they're all wrong
It's incredible, it slows down music as much as you want without changing the pitch. It's free for the trial version, then only about 30 quid for the full version. It's quite simply the best tool for working out complicated pieces of music! Google it on Yahoo, Just type in " the amazing slow downer " Brill
19. I buy basses and guitars with no intention of selling. They are all special in some way and it would tear at my heart strings to part with anyone of my girls !
20. Never tried it but have you tried the amazing slow downer? Simply the best tool for working out sh*t, if you don't want to have to use tabs
21. As someone who plays bass, I wanna play bass in my band! Gerrin!
22.
was she hot? I think you just got specc'd for a threesome... ???
Actually she was very hot, a little Polish bird and her boyfriend who was Scottish, was a good bit bigger than me.
23.
You haven't come into contact with any radioactive waste recently, have you? Maybe you could try to harness this newfound power and use it to fight evil. Buzzing noises can annoy even the most hardened of criminals. Truckstop
I tried that mate but got arrested for the risky nature of my costume Case comes up next week.
24.
I recognise it is a very valuable and intrinsic part of music, but for me, and maybe this is my rebellous side, I spend far too long reading about legal updates and I have done for about 8 years now, so to be honest, I don't have time to get to grips with music theory. Music to me is a stress relief. I'd rather just learn more on 6 string guitar and write more music.
I've had a rudimentary grip on six string guitar for years now, I always just wanted to play the bass, but about a year ago, I decided to take it further and have been taking lessons off this guy who is a virtuoso. I can't tell you how much more I understand the fretboard and appreciate the nuances of playing something somewhere else to add that..what's French for je ne sais quoi? So I'd say yes to any of that kind of stuff !
