  1. And who is going to prove this?
  2. They were a band that just ticked all the right boxes for me. I like a wide range of music going from very heavy to classical with everything in between but a good honest rock band is where it's at!
  3. Are you screwing them in with a screwdriver? If they are pulling bits out of your wall you are either hammering them in or your Gyproc is sub standard because I have never had any problems with these anywhere Ive used them.
  4. yup, never use the plastic ones. They are pants. Use these, they are really secure and easy to use
  5. Sorry to digress as it's not Europe but I bought a Taylor guitar years ago from the States as it was fully £200 cheaper from there. I asked the seller to please mark the package as a gift, which he did. Customs still got in touch with me and said they would not release the package unless I paid a custom charge. I said but it's a gift. Doesn't matter they said. Guess how much I had to pay. Yup, £200!
  6. This thread is doomed to go down the same route. It is all down to taste. Many songs that I dislike are loved by millions and Im sure many I love are equally disliked. I am not nocking your post mate, I am just warning you how it may go 😉
  7. To be fair with classic cars, it's down to rarity. Demand far out weighs availability. £30,000 is still a shed load of money and very few people pay for a car outright. I get the analogy right enough. I know that if I was better off and had money to burn on guitars I would most likely buy an NS2, not least because I would know that I could sell it on for a tidy sum. In the current climate I will stick to my Fenders which just do what it says on the tin.
  8. Which was my original question. What makes an American NS2 so much better that you can justify paying thousands more? So you think a Haz pre-amp and a paint job is worth that? They must be good right enough.
  9. I loved the video. I saved it until the evening and watched it on the tv with the surround sound. Absolutely fantastic apart from being way too short. I especially loved the Warwick semi acoustic that John Collins was playing https://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_rb_star_bass_4_vsthp.htm
  10. And here we can hear the range on a Euro Spector. These basses have a great sound and I still cannot see where you can justify £3000 more for an American one unless you have money to burn.
  11. I have plasterboard walls too mate. I used the metal plasterboard fixings and they are solid. As I said, they have been hanging for years and I regularly take them down to play them, so they are getting well used. No problems at all.
  12. These are superb! I can't fault them got lots of guitars hanging from them for years without any problems. Secure and practical.
  13. Now yer talkin'! Tizwaz on a Saturday morning was every young lads wet dream!
  14. Krist Novaselik is actually a very good musician, much the same as Cliff Williams he often plays the fifth note rather than the root which compliments the music. Both these players are often derided for their simple bass lines but that's what the music calls for.
  15. The Sires are indeed good guitars but don't let that put you off Squires. They are also great basses for the money!
  16. One of my favourite bands. I was gutted when they called it a day saying they had said everything they wanted to say musically with this band. Thanks for posting this. I got the timings mixed up and thought it was tonight.
  17. No hate from me, I just think for a kid that age to be THAT good means that he hasn't had a normal childhood.
  18. I have 15 basses. I would never sell my prized P and J but would definitely consider the lower priced ones for sale. I sold an Epiphone Thunderbird a while back. The cheaper basses are most likely to get punted.
  19. If you listen to the Rolling Stones they have a very loose style that fits perfectly with that bluesy style that they have. It's not out of time it just sounds messy. Which is perfect.
  20. Sometimes the imperfections go a long way to giving music it's visceral feel.
  21. Yup, just try and stop your feet tapping when Ma Baker comes on! Or even better Daddy Cool!
  22. I actually like Boney M. I know that wasn't them singing but the songs were superb. Still are when you have a few sherbets!
