  1. Yeah and I have had people argue with me that we played it last week. I say no, we were not playing here last week. That wasn't us. Yes you were etc. You cannot argue with drunk people. They think you are not playing it because you don't want to. We once had a guy say to us switch off your machine and let's hear what you can play like live. It was a drum machine. I said we are playing live mate but he wasn't convinced. I suppose that was a bit of an off handed compliment in a way.
  2. It's a coombed ceiling mate. edit, sorry was looking at a freeze frame of a smaller shot. I see what you mean now. Shoddy workmanship
  3. I had obviously heard this song many times but I have never actually listened to the bass. It's not so prominent on the finished song. That is a brilliant bass line!
  4. https://music.stackexchange.com/questions/15376/what-exactly-is-the-act-of-playing-behind-the-beat This is all quite interesting and shows that it is all about feel.
  5. Ive heard a few re mixes that are better than the original. Although when Mary J Bilge did her vocal masturbating over the U2 song One, I thought it ruined it. I love this song but love the re mix even more,
  6. I quite liked the single but I heard another song of his and it was pretty rubbish.
  7. It's just off the hallway. It isn't that far off the beaten track.
  8. We saw Pete Murphy once supporting The Mission. I was really looking forward to it but he came on and it was him, a violin player and a guitarist. It was rank and he came across as a total knob. There was an even bigger fan behind me and he was even more cheesed off than me. He was so conceited and looked like he was in a bad mood. I still love his solo stuff though.
  9. As do I. I will walk into that room, take a bass or guitar down from it's hanger and I'm playing. If I had to take it out of a case each time I wouldn't be so inclined to do this.
  10. Kurt played bass on their first single that I saw on Top Of The Pops. Ive always thought of him being the bass player.
  11. If your basses are hanging up or on stands you are far more likely to pick them up and play them. This is a fact!
  12. Bloody cheek! I was only young at the time and wanted it to be perfect. When I listened to it, I thought it sounded rough and slack but he made the sound so much better. It was probably better than I thought at the time but I was paranoid thinking this guy from the city is going to think us country boys are amateurs.
  13. I think this too. The bands you play with must all be very distant with each other. I played with mates or at least people I got on very well with and if one of us was struggling to get something right, we would all support him.
  14. I find alcohol cures all manner of ills in these type of situations!
  15. I take it you didn't read my posts then.
  16. I am currently learning all the parts for Get lucky. I want to do a lockdown video and the guitar is proving to be a real hurdle. I am following tutorials on YouTube and it just doesn't sound quite right. I will keep at it as I have lots of time.
  17. I enjoyed it too mate. I just found it amazing how he does it!
  18. I'm struggling to get my head around that! Its hard enough to master the right way up!
  19. If you read my other thread about how much is fair to charge for rent you will know only too well the challenges I am having with him.
  20. Yeah, we always spin the clothes after the final cycle and they come out just damp but yesterday her son took our washing out to put his in, left ours in a heap in the basket soaking wet and by the time I spotted it, his was in a cycle so I had to hang it up dripping wet.☹️
  21. We have it in our hall. Thats where we also dry laundry when we can't hang it out. It's the central part of the house but it's the bedrooms that get the worst condensation. When you think about it, the kitchen should be the worst what with the washing machine door being opened , dishwasher door being opened and pots and kettles boiling but it's not. It must be because we ventilate the kitchen all the time whether with a window open or the door open. If you read that guys info, an average person exhales 4 cups of water in their breath every day, so it's no wonder that two people in a bedroom with windows shut will cause condensation plus the laundry on top of that. We keep our bedroom door open during the day to allow the Meaco to get to the air in there but her son and girlfriend have their door closed all the time and he is complaining about mould. He has bought anti mould paint and is going to paint the room. I keep saying open the door and allow air to circulate but he never listens. With the Meaco it is controlled and the mould has never gotten any worse throughout the rest of the house.
