  1. Yup, I use the metal plasterboard fixings. They are really secure mate. Mine have been hanging for years!
  2. I have 14 Hercules wall hangers. They are fantastic and so safe. I used to keep all my guitars on multi stands but they took up so much room. The wall hangers are ideal.
  3. We have a Meaco as well. Does a fantastic job of gathering moisture and dries clothes brilliantly!
  4. One of my all time favourite performances. I would shake their hands after this!
  5. If I want to get my Mrs complaining ( that's what would happen, she definitely wouldn't up and leave) I just need to put on Kylie. I don't particularly like Kylie but can appreciate some of her dance tunes but Mrs Ubit absolutely detests her. To the point where she gets angry if she comes on. I refuse to delete her songs as I like to have a variation on random but I am sure there are less of her songs on the computer than there used to be.
  6. If you read the guys information you will see that "Dehumidifiers not only dry the air, but produce warm air as a byproduct of operation, further offsetting the low cost of running." Thus helping the room stay at a constant level of humidity. A good dehumidifier will get rid of excess moisture very quickly before it has a chance to affect objects. Leaving a room damp for ages with wet laundry cannot be good for guitars.
  7. This guy has some good advice https://www.fixmyroof.co.uk/videos-and-guides/condensation-cure/
  8. Thing is mate, if you are drying laundry indoors your moisture levels WILL be higher in the room. You don't need to measure it, its gonna happen if you dry wet clothes indoors. If you have guitars close by the constant change from damp to dry may affect them. A dehumidifier helps dry clothes as well as reducing the moisture content in a room, so you are getting two bangs for yer buck.
  9. This was my original question julfam. I mean the Euro is a lovely bass and sounds great. I know American made basses are always going to be more expensive and I should have edited my original post, its not £4000 more, more like £3,500 but that still a lot more money for I just don't know what. From what people say the NS2 has a better bottom end but this thing has loads of bottom and miles of top end. With new strings it sounds incredible.
  10. I have absolutely no doubt that they are lovely basses but to be honest I just cannot justify spending that on a bass. £1500 was bad enough for the Euro. Round about £1000 is my expected spend on a really good bass and an American P or J would do that for me. I just like having a bass that offers different tonal choices. The Euro does this enough for me.
  11. Yeah right, if you read my original post, I priced an NS2 at £5000+ from Thomann. I asked if spending an EXTRA £4000 was worth it. I am not going to spend that on a bass mate
  12. My Cabronita was over £600 and that was 6 years ago.
  13. I remember years ago we did a session in a studio to record our own material. I laid down the bass and after hearing it I said I'm gonna have to do that again it sounds terrible. The engineer said don't worry, leave it with me. He mucked about and cleaned it up. When we heard the finished article the bass sounded great.
  14. Absolutely nothing wrong with it! Do you think grunge was all about technical dexterity and accuracy?
  15. Nothing wrong with the Mexican basses. I have a Cabronita and it's a lovely guitar. Very nice feel and looks gorgeous.
  16. Wet laundry is the biggest cause of condensation ever. You should always try to not dry it indoors at all but obviously this isn't an option with a flat/British weather etc. The only other way is to control the condensation. We used to suffer from mould growing on our ceilings and behind beds etc. I bought a dehumidifier, it cured our problem but I had it set at 35%. Our electricity bill was sky high. I researched a bit and the Meaco is a low energy model but as I said set it just below the level for mould. https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/meaco12le/meaco-meaco12le-dehumidifier?refsource=apadcenters&mkwid=oDkqbeqN_dc&pcrid=74766916316735&product=MEACO12LE&pgrid=1196269017617318&ptaid=pla-4578366436448568&channel=bingsearch&msclkid=f762bff862ba12a048bee13a5dec9111&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Shopping_aircon\dehumidifiers&utm_term=4578366436448568&utm_content=Shopping_aircon\dehumidifiers_MEACO12LE
  17. Buy a dehumidifier and set it to 50 or 55. Any less than this and your electricity bill will go through the roof and you will feel as if your room is desiccated.
  18. Maybe if you use the guitar tab you can find the bass. It doesn't seem to be on the internet. It isn't all that hard so with a bit of practise you could probably work it out. Thats how I learned most of the songs when I was starting out. I had never heard of tabs back then and there was no internet. It's actually a good way of learning songs if you have to find the notes rather than following tab. https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/scritti-politti/the-word-girl-chords-1480494
  19. I love all forms of Bob Mould, Hüsker Du, Sugar, solo. Great!
  20. I agree and as I said, if I had the talent I would sell my soul and release Kylies greatest hits if it was going to make me lots and lots of money and keep me in the kind of life I should have been born to!
  21. They certainly came out with some great songs and I admire Knoplers talent immensely. There was just that short period when they came out with shameless commercial orientated material, which lets face it, I would have done too if I had the talent. I had forgotten about twisting by the pool 🤢 Thanks ezbass!
