  1. So no need to pay £4000 more then.
  2. I don't hear £4000 difference at all!
  3. Another one. Nt much hope for moi! https://www.narcity.com/news/youre-probably-a-psychopath-if-you-like-these-songs
  4. Update. I have now had replies from three guys who sound very interested and will charge round about the same price (£250/£300) Status got back to me eventually and said it would cost more than the value of the bass. Surely the value of the bass is up to me. Anyway, they more or less wiped their hands of it. I will have to wait until this situation changes and I am back at work but they were all understanding. Thanks for all the help guys.
  5. obviously it is down to taste but this list is interesting.
  6. Mrs Ubit's mother is a real nutcase (in a good way) She has stated that she wants all the mourners at her funeral to walk backwards out of the church. Honestly, I have never met a more zany person than her. She is a great laugh.
  7. Jethro Tull Beastie. I love the lyrics, "From early days of infancy, to trembling years of youth, long murky middle age and final hours long in the tooth" I want that put on my gravestone even although I want to be buried at sea or burned.
  8. He is another one that annoys me. So what if he plays for five hours. Who wants to stand that long anyway? The Doors? Meh, that bloody keyboard sound. The Beatles? Don't start me!
  9. Many people seem to think you need a top heavy sound for slap when in fact the opposite is true. A good bottom end sounds great when slapped! 😉
  10. The bass solo in Call Me Al is sublime! Slap when done right is great.
  11. Slap fits just right in some songs. Red Hot Chilli's for example. Aeroplane just sounds right with that slap passage.
  12. Im the opposite. I play all the time with fingers and have to try really hard to use a pick. I like the sound from a pick for certain songs. I need to practise more with a pick.
  13. I really regret not having taken music when I was in school. I am trying to teach myself to read music but a teacher would have been the best solution. I could have turned an interest into a job if I had just made different life choices.
  14. I love a good bit of slap. It sounds like you are better than you are.
  15. I am quite prepared to change my perspective about certain individuals if it is proven to me that they are decent people but as long as I have to see them on tv or in the press behaving like twatts I will remain convinced that they are indeed egotistical, entitled knob heads. I do quite like some of U2's music but I will always be annoyed at that Bonio and his constant preaching. If he was so concerned about world hunger, some of his millions would go a long way to helping.
  16. Not a grey hair in sight. Amazing that!
  17. I can open work emails anytime. I would imagine a business would be the same and would risk losing business if they don't reply. Thanks to everyone who has given me decent contacts. I have now had an answer from two and the others who didn't answer have lost the chance at my custom.
  18. Messaged him and am still waiting on a reply two days later.
  19. I have actually being singing and playing bass and someone I vaguely knew came up and was like alright? Hows it going? What's doing? What are you up to? Im trying to carry on singing and I'm thinking are you serious mate?
  20. Thats what I thought. No offence but Kylie was pretty big in the 80's.
  21. Even if a business is closed from the lockdown they would still have access to e mail. Thats a poor excuse and as said, if you want your business to continue after lockdown then you should treat customers appropriately.
