  1. I hear the harmonica break in this and I am like how the f**k is he getting it to sound like that? How do you learn this?

I will need to do plenty of research now. Gas back again and no money. Thanks for that!🤨
  3. I also have a Taylor 214to compliment the electrics

I have always had GAS for a Stingray but as I say that thin sound made me wary. I admit to not knowing enough about them to take the plunge, especially the sub.
  5. It is real drums that have been recorded though. We used one for years as a two piece and it was superb. I never learned how to programme it as the guitarist always did it but I bought one myself after we got a drummer so that I could work at home. I still don't know how to programme the thing right enough.
  6. I agree. I bought one thinking how hard can this be? Theres no notes to finger. How wrong was I?

I've always found the Music Man basses too top heavy for me. I mean the top end, although I admit in this video she is getting plenty bottom end. The jury is still out for me. plus do you go for the Sub or the original?
  8. He always played a P bass and has his own signiature model. Admittedly the head looks different in this video.
  9. There will be no stopping you now!
  10. This is a very good point. I play sitting down with my elbow high, so unconsciously I have got around this problem. I suppose it's from years of gigging AND playing sitting down. I have found a common angle for my fore-arm. One to definitely watch out for.
  11. So are we going to get progress reports Abi? I am dying to hear how you are getting on and more importantly, how you are enjoying your bass playing.
  12. I have a Fender MIJ Telecaster which is lovely but I made a Strat from bits that I bought on the internet. I fitted Wilkinson pick ups and I have to say, it sounds brilliant!
  13. Quite possibly because most people can't gig because of the Corona virus mate
  14. I will second the Sire recommendation. I have not tried one but from what Ive seen on Youtube, they are great basses and quite affordable too.
  15. I missed it, what platform was it on? Maybe I could see a catch up.
  16. Until I can land a rotational position instead of being ad hoc, I can't see us ever gigging again. I can't even plan a rehearsal never mind gigs. This was even before the lockdown. I really miss it. She says I should sell some of my guitars but I hold on to the hope that we will get back sometime.
  17. I was at that one year in early 2000. It was really good. The only criticism I would have was the benches they provided were great during the day when it was quiet but at night when the bigger bands were on, people stood on them so if you didn't have bench space you had no chance of seeing the band. I heard Wolfmother but couldn't even get a glimpse of them.
  18. Totally agree mate. I am forced to use stainless as I am allergic to nickel but I do prefer the brighter tone anyway. I change strings very soon after their first use. I hate dull sounding strings unless that is the sound needed for particular songs. I cannot understand when people say that they have strings sounding new after lots of uses.
  19. Elites are my favourites! I love the brightness. Im allergic to nickel so was forced to try stainless and Elites have been my go to for years!
