1. Yup, couple of weddings and a jubilee all-dayer with several other bands. Bit sceptical re: the jubilee all-dayer, as it's a shared/provided back line, whilst i'm thankful for not having to drag all my gear out and appreciate the loan of an amp, historically the provided bass amp has usually been dross - anything from non-existent to under powered. There has been the odd exception...fingers-crossed !
2.
Want to swap for a 90's Fender jap Jazz Bass, Sunburst, with a tort plate, loaded with EMG's, Badass and J Retro, plus cash?
Would you be interested in any kind of sale for this bass ??!!!!
3. ...this has the potential for being a brilliant thread !
4. Bump for sharing super phat piece of deep funk !
5. Bump - this is perfect for Subbuteo or Scalextrics enthusiasts.
6.
is it a left-handed board?
Nope, it's a righty - I've gotten used to playing it upside down :-)
7. ...also brilliant for Fuzzy Felt enthusiasts !
8. Used nearly new Diago Tourman for sale £100ono Bit too big for my needs.
9. Crown XLS - good amps.
10. What a legacy. Luckily got to see him play in '91. Thank you Duck.
11.
I'd just like to thank Wateroftyne, for tipping me off over the buried truss rod. I didn't see it on the listing pics straight away. But the seller was very helpful and happy to provide pics of everything I asked for.
Nice one.
12. With that much money involved I'd want to see the bass in person before getting into any bidding, and then pick the bugger up in person. Sweet bass just too much of a risk for me !
13. £1900 close of play. Fair result all round.
14. Sorry to be a P in the A sale on hold whilst I gig this rig over Summer !
15. ...and to put this into perspective I bought my PF used off jabba !!!!
16. Used my PF500 for the first time in a medium sized but loud pub gig last night, the amp was bought primarily as a back up to a Genz SL900, so other than rehearsals this was used in anger in light of this topic ! Using the Ampeg preset SVT jazz settings I went passive J straight in (via 2 2x10 Bergantinos), and importantly for this gig masses of head room (we get loud in a "controlled" manner lol) More than happy, bags of noticeable tone and the compressor smoothed things out to my liking. For c.£300 what's not to love ? My only issue is the current lack of rack mounting ability - which kinda misses the whole portaflex ethos ! It's not quite an SVT, it doesn't claim to be - but it's great amp in it's own right. It's not going to replace the Genz, but for my investment I'm a happy camper.
17. It's a '73 according to the s/n.
18. Bargain, if only I was cack handed !
19. I've got one that I use as a back-up. No issues and for the money a great little amp !
20. http://www.ebay.co.u...8#ht_500wt_1413 What's the consensus ? Apart from the front and rear mismatched paint work (may be due majorly faded red) this feels right ? ...1973 ish ??!!!! I've asked for serial no and more pics.
