    With that much money involved I'd want to see the bass in person before getting into any bidding, and then pick the bugger up in person. Sweet bass just too much of a risk for me !

    Used my PF500 for the first time in a medium sized but loud pub gig last night, the amp was bought primarily as a back up to a Genz SL900, so other than rehearsals this was used in anger in light of this topic ! Using the Ampeg preset SVT jazz settings I went passive J straight in (via 2 2x10 Bergantinos), and importantly for this gig masses of head room (we get loud in a "controlled" manner lol) More than happy, bags of noticeable tone and the compressor smoothed things out to my liking. For c.£300 what's not to love ? My only issue is the current lack of rack mounting ability - which kinda misses the whole portaflex ethos ! It's not quite an SVT, it doesn't claim to be - but it's great amp in it's own right. It's not going to replace the Genz, but for my investment I'm a happy camper.

    Any interest to anyone ? Not really sure of value - there is one currently on Ebay £120 asking......I know. Electro Harmonix Bass Balls twin envelope filter, this is the Russian version. As used by Bootsy etc. Bought new for $79.95 in New York, 2000 !!! Unmolested but bit dusty and paint starting to flake…apparently these are quite sought after, apparently. £90ono ???!!!!

[/quote] Colin, placing pics on this forum is pretty straightforward, one way in brief... ...open an online photo sharing website account (such as photobucket) upload your images there, once uploaded there are a whole host of links you can use to share images, these are listed by your pics (such as: email/im - direct link - html code - img code). We're gonna use the [ IMG ] one. then back in basschat... ...create another reply like this and use the img code directly, just type your text and then copy and paste the link to your pic - it should look like this: [ IMG ] http:// name of website etc. / name of album etc. / bass image.jpg [ /IMG ] into the reply. ...there are other ways !!!
