  1. Been looking for an Ibby for a while now... not the exact colour I was thinking but this has certainly piqued my interest 🤔
  2. You know where I am 😉
  3. Anyone had any experience with this yet? Seems a bit of a slow burner in the bass world. Bass the world did a demo and the fuzzes sounded great, even by analogue standards!
  4. Hey Quatsch, Yeah I prefer the Octabvre mini. I've used it for years so it's probably just what I'm used to. I'd say the T16 has more bottom on tap though and definitely blends better.
  5. XVive Bass Squeezer Compressor - £25 + £5 shipping or free local drop off. Great little one knob compressor that punches well above it's weight. Built in analogue overdrive circuit too which can add a nice break up or that dirty compressor vibe. Knob goes from not compressed to squashed, around half way up adds a nice bit of beef As new condition, been on board so velcro on back. Comes with box.
  6. JPTR FX Jive - £100 + £5 shipping or free local drop off Lovely sounding saturator capable of clean saturation, low gain drive and mid-high fuzzy drive with unique clipping diode switches. Bought new 3-4 months ago, been on board so velcro on back, new condition besides that. Comes with box and box candy etc...
  7. Brand New Cog T16 available £190 incl UK postage Arrived yesterday, but I prefer another pedal I use. Brand new out the box, plugged in for 30 seconds to A/B against my 3 Leaf.
  8. Anyone had any real world experience with this yet? Wondering how the sound quality compares and whether there are new effects that weren't previously there.., I remember loving the idea of the first one but didn't like the bypassed tone suck I perceived... this new iteration has piqued my interest again though 🤔
  9. Initial impressions aren't what I'd hoped for (although I don't know what I'd hoped for 🤔) and im not sure how useful it is... but I LOVE the new direction of the one series pedals. Regardless of what the pedal does or doesn't do, what a huge upgrade this is in usability!
  10. Excellent price, this'll get snapped up at that price! GLWTS
  11. That's a really good shout! Although is there not potential for it to stunt sales of the Zio bass they recently released?
  12. I'd assumed it was going to be some sort of guitar preamp... but if it's got one of your presets on then maybe not... 🤔 I'm guessing either: Aftershock v2 Stand alone octaver Literally can't think of ANY ground they haven't already covered with existing pedals!
  13. One tuner: Korg Pitchblack customer - Accurate and looks great when in use one drive: EHX Hot Wax - Covers so much ground and sounds awesome one fuzz/distortion: Way Huge Pork & Pickle - Again, Fantastic pedal with the perfect drive sound and an awesome fuzz. one envelope filter: Mr Black Fownkbeta - sooooo squelchy! one octave: 3 Leaf Octabvre 3 - The Octabvre mini is my go to, and the new one is even better one modulation: Aguilar Grape Phaser - funky as you like. one preamp: Tech21 Sansamp VTDI - Owned one years ago and didn't approve, think it was more a case of didn't understand it. Seems a versatile unit cover all sorts of ground. one pedal that does reverb or delay (or both): Again, not within my remit so I'd let the HX One cover this and one wildcard: Source Audio C4 - Fantastic pedal, my current band plays tunes that we couldn't do without it and I wouldn't be without one.
  14. So I'll start off by saying I used a Barefaced Big twin II for around 5 years before going to FOH and IEMs. I was never enamoured with the Barefaced, but enjoyed knowing it could take ANYTHING I threw at it... For the last year I've been ampless and gone through a stack of preamps to find the right tone; But it always felt flat live. Lately it's dawned on me that it's the lack of amp that's the issue! After a bit of lamenting and regret at selling my barefaced, I decided to start looking into cabs. Nothing REALLY stood out; I do a lot of sub and edm stuff so it needed to go low, but I'm also lazy so lightweight was preferred. I placed a wanted ad on a local page and an absolute gentleman from nearby offered up his nearly new immaculate Hartke HL410 for what I think is a steal! And here it is... Sound wise I'm not really any wiser as I still have my iems in which take a feed from my board, but I can definitely feel it, which is something I've missed! I was concerned that it's 8 ohm as I didn't think think 400W would be enough, but it felt ample!
  15. Mine took an age to come, Took a good few weeks before shipping... currently up for sale on faceache marketplace before I put a listing up on here. Cracking bit of kit and I love what it adds, but when I turn it off I always feel like it's taken something away too
  16. I regret moving my hotone on - has the latest update made much of an improvement?
  17. As previously mentioned - absolutely your power supply causing the issue. Digital pedals need to be properly isolated. I use a truetone CS6, cheaper than the Cioks stuff but fantastic quality. I used to use the standard amazon/ebay solutions, but after receiving similar advice to what you've been given I bought a Cioks DC5 at the time, and now I'd never to go back to cheap power.
  18. Another change over for me... I wanted that amp like quality to my cleans tone but not my synth stuff... Enter: Joyo Tidal Wave and Joyo Orthros Selector! Was hoping to take advantage of the two outputs on the ultrawave and have it in both chains, but it hasn't quite worked as I'd hoped. Signal chain is Korg tuner > Demonfx Call76 > Joyo Orthros selector (set A/B) > Source Audio Bass Zio Loop A (cleans): Source Audio C4 (for filters and phases) > Source audio Ultrawave (for overdrive and fuzzes > Joyo Monomyth > Joyo Tidal Wave Loop B (Synthy): 3 Leaf Octabvre Mini > Source Audio C4 (w/ tap tempo) > Source Audio Ultrawave I'm not 100% sold on the Tidal Wave until I gig it, but it has reaffirmed that I need more of a coloured tone on my cleans
  19. As a rule I've sworn off digital preamps. But if AI can make James Hetfield sing Madonna then surely it can make my bass sound like a genuine Ampeg stack coming through a line array p.a. 🤔.
  20. I'll wait until DemonFX bring out the Call76 V2 😉
  21. I'm digging it! Still trying to find the right balance between the grit switch and the saturation from my jptr fx Jive, but the Jive might end up going the distance anyways... I tend to heavily boost the bass and tune with the focus, roll the treble right back (the treble roll off is fantastically tuned, even at 9 o clock the sound isn't muddy at all). Grit on and low, and scoop off. Lack of aux in is every bit the gripe I thought it would be, but other than that I'm getting a filthy P sound with this, the jive and a snide cali76 without overly colouring my other effects 👌
  22. I thought about it, but I like the battered and full of character aesthetic, and think the hole adds to it... the old pick up would've added a nice contrast though being black... It's a bit of an odd design choice as it creates the mightiest of mid scoops - and as mentioned by others, the P loses a lot of depth as opposed to the Fender counterparts. The bass feels like home though and I when I pick it up the qualms with tone go out of my head as nothing plays quite like it.
  23. So my 2017 Sandberg Cali II VT4 HCA got some new pick ups yesterday! Went with the EMG GZR set. Their push fit set up is something else! Decided to go all passive, as I'm not a fan of on board preamps, and have enough tone shaping on my board. Also binned off the bridge pickup, I don't like how close it is to the neck pick up, so it never gets used... so away it went! cant wait to give this a proper blast!
  24. I don't notice any neck dive with my squier classic vibe mustang, although my strap is an old leather strap with a felt style material underneath. For reference, I'm 6ft 2" tall - 4ft wide, and my main basses are the squier, a Sandberg Cali II VT4HCA and a sire V5R jazz. For me I found the switch from long scale to short a lot easier than going from short back to my long scale. Pros and cons as follows: Pros: - Lighter - More comfortable when playing 1 finger per fret - Less hand, wrist and elbow fatigue - Lower string tension - Has more "Thud" in the mix Cons: - My C4 doesn't track as well with this bass - Harder to get a "growl" from (could be the squier pick ups) - Easy to forget you've got less frets when noodling up the dusty end I'll say that my VT4 is my ride or die (sold it once and was SO glad to have it back) - but the squier sees more gigging action these days
  25. I'm always scared with 2.4ghz set ups for interference, but I've had 2 sets of the NUX bugs as well as a preamp from them and can't recommend enough. Quality gear at a good price
