1.
not sure iv ever heard a passive wal before...how do they compare?
very versatile for a passive instrument - individual vol and tone controls plus master volume, 3-way pickup selector and series/parallel coil switching for each pickup. Hours of fun! The overall character of the sound with everything on 10 is VERY fat and round but there's plenty of mid-range bark on the bridge pickup if you want it and any number of variations between the two extremes. I found it easier to get a good solid tone with the passive rather than active version but that's just my personal experience.
  2. I'm considering offering my 'owned-from-new' 1981 Pro II(passive) Serial No. PB1158 for sale if I get a fair offer. Sunburst finish with some checking in the lacquer on the front and back of the body. Neck is in excellent condition, bar a couple of hairline cracks in the varnish on and near the headstock, electrics are original and perfect and the instrument has been sitting in its CP Cases flightcase since it was overhauled and refurbished by Pete Stevens about ?? years ago! This is just a 'feeler' for now but if anyone is seriously interested, drop me a line and I'll send more pics. ebay joke?

Has anyone else spotted this for sale on eBay? http://musical-instruments.shop.ebay.co.uk...mp;_trksid=m270 It would make a lovely ironing-board!

  5.
I'm thinking of letting my 'Cetus' eub go to a better home as I'm just not using it enough. This must be THE best-looking eub on the market and its kevlar/carbon fibre composite hollow body gives the sound a really authentic acoustic quality. Rather than post pics now, I'd suggest looking at the Bridge website which gives a detailed profile on the instrument and its construction. Link: http://www.bridgeinstruments.co.uk/elec_bass.html The bass is in superb condition (only 5 gigs total!) and will come with a Mouradian soft cover (Bridge didn't supply covers when I bought my bass). Current list price is £2,250.00 and I'd be open to a reasonable offer. I have photos waiting if you're interested.
Hmmm....... how about an 'unreasonable' offer? A shame to put it into storage.
