Alright peeps, I've not had much response on the trade side of things regarding this amp so I'll put a for sale price of £250 on it.
-
Thanks for your input, I'll do some online research.
-
I currently have an SVP Pro Pre Amp and an SVP 1500 Power Amp, however I find the Power Amp too big so I'm looking for a lightweight replacement.
Any ideas?
I've been looking at 1U and 2U Power Amps (the Ampeg is 3U) mainly looking at lightweight ones. Are they reliable, what makes should I look for and what makes should I avoid. -
Yes mate, I actually love the sound of it, it's just not practical for me to have it. I'm used to carrying my Clarus around in my Acoustic band so I want something similar that's easy to cart around and won't break my back. It's a bummer growing old.

If you pay for something advertised new it should be new and that includes the box. Otherwise it should be sold as refurbished or whatever. I've bought some refurbished items recently that were new but described refurbished because the box was damaged or had been returned by a previous owner etc.
I'd send it back and demand new or else go elsewhere for it. -
Reeeeeeplied

Bought this a few weeks ago but to be honest it just reminded me of why I got rid of my SVT6 Pro........weight.
Looking to trade for something lighter, so what have you got?
I'll put pics up later when I get home from work.
Edit.
I've also got an Ampeg SVP Pro pre amp and an Ampeg SVP 1500 Power Amp I could add to the deal.
Or
I'd willing to trade for a lightweight power amp 1 or 2U

I used to find this difficult and still do for a lot of songs and that's just singing backing vocals. It's deffo practice because I never used to be able to sing and play at all.
As for harmonising and playing, I don't think I'll ever get that bit right. -
First time I've tried to link a Video, hope it works, if it doesn't can someone explain to me how to do it.

I'd say he was actually in the Southern Hemisphere judging by that photo

Hi, Forum rules state you have to provide a price... Also would be useful to know where you are as well..

It says he's in the Northern Hemisphere, what more do you need to know -
Looking forward to seeing the completed Bass.

I would have this if you were closer.

I used to make my own using my printer and decal paper. It's great for practising with and a lot less expensive. Next time you buy a decal, scan it at high resolution then use that as your template for printing onto the decal paper. You can print loads on a single A4 sheet of paper.
Tip - Buy some clear gloss from Halfords and spray the cut out decal from the printed paper before dipping it in water to remove it otherwise the ink will run.
Not as good as bought Decals but not a bad job either. -
Fairies Wear Boots has some nice bass in it as well as Iron Man.
-
Here's ours, nothing special but it works.

White Wedding - Billy Idol
-
With Or Without You - U2
Town Called Malice - The Jam -
I'll buy it

I use mine in my Acoustic Band, it's more for the image than the sound although the sound of my Acoustic through my Clarus 2 amp sounds great.

Where do you live? I may be able to deliver or meet halfway?

Tempted but I've just got too much stuff in my garage at the moment. -
I use a Washburn AB40SH Custom.
This was the 3rd time lucky for me as I had an Ibanez and a Crafter before this which didn't really do the job (feedback). I had it imported from the States, it's an absolutely fantastic Bass with no feedback at all in a live situation. Intonation is adjustable as it has individual saddles and it has the Buzz Feiten tuning system which means that intonation is spot on all the way down the neck.
I see you're in Oxford so I'm not too far from you. You're welcome to come and try it out if you want.

Thanks Beely, I was wondering about them as they seem quite reasonably priced.
