1. I tried 5 songs today at the audition. Sonne, Du hast, Links 2-3-4, Bestrafe Mich and Mein Herz Brennt. They all went down quite well once I got used to playing with the band. I was only introduced to the songs this week so I was quite pleased how it all went. The guitarist is going to send me a list of a few more songs, seemann being one of them.
Rammstein ist gut, ja? Yeah, I do like a bit of Rammstein... Any particular songs you're planning on doing then?
2. Some songs are drop tuned to C. Even though they're metal, the songs are quite mellodic. I really like them.
3. I've been asked to join a Rammstein tribute band which I've accepted. I currently play (and will still play) in an originals band but thought I'd try this out for a bit of a change of genre. Does anyone know much about them and if so, how do you think a Rammstein tribute band would do. I'm not really sure of their following in the UK. The singer sings in German which is a good start and both guitarists know their stuff as well as the keys player so I'm fairly confident it will work out.
4.
Pair of rack ears to fit Trace Elliot heads. These work fine with my GP7SM. Had them shipped in from the States from British Audio Service who deal in Trace stuff on Ebay - here's the link. Currently would cost you £23 to get a pair. I'll take a tenner.
PM'd
5. We used to do Hey there Delilah when we were doing covers. It's sounds great with the bass added.
Doing an Acoustic Duo set with a guitarist friend in the summer, so learning (amongst others) Hey There Delilah and Yesterday, neither of which seem to have bass on the originals as far as I can tell!
6. I'm in Swindon so Liverpool's a bit far for me..........good luck with the sale.
7. I'm on the lookout for an SVT3.Can you tell me more about it. Made in USA or far East, condition, your whereabouts as well as a ball park figure for it etc A couple of pics would be nice too :-)
8. + plenty for Tina Weymouth from Talking Heads, one of my all time favourite bands.
9. I think that's got something to do with the exchange rate at the moment. I've been looking at buying a SVT3 pro and they've went up a few hundred pound in the last couple of months too.
only trouble is they are not so cheap anymore.fender have put prices up twice in the last 2 or 3months.
10.
I live in newbury and could be interested. Are you playing anywhere soon so I can come along and hear the current lineup?
Talking of Newbury, I'm playing in the Deal or No Record Deal heat tonight at The Snooty Fox :-)
11. I've just bought one of these and I'm just waiting for it to arrive. My aim is to record my band live as well as doing some home studio work with it. I've read good reviews and bad reviews about it. Does anybody have one and what are their experiences with it ? 12. Err.....................so you haven't made your decision.
13. What a great bass, the fact that it's stringless must save you a fortune in new strings too :-P
14. I play a Fender Jazz USA FMT and I can honestly say that every time I pick it up and play it I'm grinning from ear to ear. Right now I have no hankerings to play anything else. Amps, on the other hand are a completely different thing.
15. Dr Dave, are you the guy that comes on at the beginning of the Pink Floyd Story ? :-)
16. Exactly my point, he goes on to describe the guitar and amp and then sticks in the bit at end about the book. Wannabe conman - end of.
17. To stop someone else getting ripped off. I only noticed it myself after I'd put my first bid in. Obviously he won't be getting sent any money for it.
18. Nice collection, have you ever thought of buying a Fender, just for a change ;-)
19.
I would'nt have touched it with a barge pole. you cant fault him for the description. he said it was rubbish. i dont think you can leave negative feedback now though. reprt him to ebay iif you dont get the goods.
Did you look at the ad ? I'm not bothered about the guitar and amp, I've bought and sold plenty of them on Ebay. It's the description and the fact that at the bottom of it in tiny writing he's put "This is just the book from the fender kit and not the whole guitar pack". Have a look at the size of the description font and then look at the font for the above line. He was obviously trying to con someone into thinking they were getting the guitar and amp but it was only for the book.
20. Hello to everyone from a newbie. I still bid on it to see if he was for real. I've won but not heard from him, surprise surprise. Told him he was a conman and I was leaving negative feedback.
