  1. I'll try and find my luggage scales..... It's not light - probably around 4.5kg-5kg I guess.
  2. Classic bass, no major dings. Wish I could keep it but smaller house forces sale. The pickup selector needs a wiggle sometimes, could probably do with being cleaned/re-soldered can deliver
  3. Moving house to a smaller place so need to whittle my collection down. Pretty rare. Built like a tank. USA made. 2 band sweet sounding EQ. Pickups are meaty! can deliver in hard case
  4. Moving house to a smaller place so need to whittle my collection down. fantastic condition. Plays and sounds great. Is a heavy instrument though. can deliver in hard case
  5. Downsizing and moving house so the collection has to be whittled down. Built like a tank, plays great, has original preamp. I think thus might have been fretless originally but has been converted professionally and well. can deliver in hard case
  6. Downsizing and moving house so the collection has to be whittled down. Cracking bass, great condition. Has Aguilar pickup. can deliver in hard case
  7. It's the sadowsky VTC. Never heard of that Noll Mixpot, will look into it
  8. I've been using a custom Maruszczyk for my wedding band gig for a few years - 5 string, P/MM config with ability to turn the MM into single coil/series/parallel. I've never been happy with the P sound - it's a Delano MVC5 AL. Doesn't sound like a P to me. So i've been trying out various basses./ Recently got a Sadowsky metro express which had been upgraded with the VTC and noiseless pickups. THe P pickup sounds great, PJ is fantastic for slap but I cant get a decent bridge pickup sound for the songs that need more of a stringray vibe. I've tried various degrees of blend and solod and boosting the gain but just doesnt do it for me. I really notice it on "Dont stop believing" where I'd normally have my MM in series and solo'd with a bit of a mid poke. So...are there any high output 5 string jazz pickups I could drop in to the bridge position?
  9. I'm fed up of the acrylic ones eventually cracking. Seems to be hard to find someone making metal ones.
  10. Amazingly well built bass with 18v EMG circuit. Plays fantastically. G string machine head has been repaired - sheared off but has been secured with epoxy and is fully functional.
  11. Outstanding bass, great condition. Sounds the same as my 2025x Comes with the Yamaha gig bag.

  17. Needing to be ruthless with my collection. I bought this already modded with and 18v EMG circuit. It plays and sounds great. only issue is music stand fell into it and scarred it. There’s a 1 inch scratch that goes through the paint on the front of the body lower edge. Price includes uk delivery in hard case. Happy to deliver most of Scotland. I would trade for stringray 4

  19. Hi all, If you like a bit of Lizzy and are in the area, please consider coming to support us. We've been working hard with no promoter trying to build up a following but its an uphill struggle despite as being not bad and putting on a decent show! This is a live recording of us a few months back. Bass is a Fender Precision in dark night finish, rotosound flats 50-110 through a Tech 21 SH1 Steve Harris preamp. Link to tickets in the comments. It's £15 on the door. (Pricey, I know, but the venue is £250 to hire and diesel for the van is £50). The Bungalow is a great venue to play in with a great atmosphere.
  20. Just to say we're playing in The Tan Hill Inn tomorrow - our first gig in England (We're Dundee based)> We've got 2 hours of Thin Lizzy.
