My friend had OBT and 2 SP212 for a 2-3 years maybe,and we tested that amp with few basses (Lakland P and J,Warwick Streamer 84'),and his slap tone couldn't been better. We even didn't test the EQ range,we just put everything on 12'o clock. I think you should change bass and cab. I'm from Europe. I'm looking at the prices for 210 cabs,and they are all 800$+,which is really overkill. Some of them cost 1200$ (EBS Neo 210,some Ampeg models). I'm not that crazy to give that money for cab.

I bought Aguilar TH500 at the end,used and really good price. Now the cab. I was looking for 210 cab,and they are all price-overkill for me. And then I found Avatar B210 Neo,and price is really funny! 350$!! New!! I've read they are great quallity and they can be very loud. So.. is there any better cab for the price,or is the Avatar way to go?

For two weeks I'll have first ("big") gig with my band. Since I still have my little practise amp,I need to get another amp,couse my practise amp is too small,and not very loud. I've always liked Orange Bass Terror sound. It's really warm and punchy,and also very natural sounding. But the thing is: I don't like tubes. I was wondering if there is some similar amp,but completly solid state,not cheap made,not made in China,with that similar warm tone? From what I've read/heard,I think Aguilar Tone Hammer could be what I'm looking for. Anyway: if somebody has some other idea,please let me know. Tnx.
