1. Usually you can always stop an ebay auction, for example for the case that the item got damaged or something.... Nice shipping costs you have on ebay :-D
2. All gone, please close.
3. One of the most pleasant deals ever. Traded a Stingray for his Geddy Lee and everything was great. Kind communication, very fast shipping (all in 24hrs!) and the instrument was exactly as he described it. I couldn't wish for more! He is trustworthy and a nice mate to deal and speak with, no questions to be asked! Highly recommended business partner . All the best and thanks a lot! PS: The deal took place from Croatia to Germany. So everything good on an international basis!
4. Ray is gone. Up for LeFay.
5. The finess is, that with a passive midshape pot, both P and J sounds are possible. And everything in between of course. Lovely bass. GLWTS!
6. I didn't read all of your posts, but my piece of the cake is, that I was in a similar (but no so very drastic) case involved. Born and resident in Germany but I look as a "southern" type and I suffered from british customs as well once. Out of a line of dozens of people I was full body searched and questioned for an short amount of time, just because they could not believe we got our Ryanair tickets for a mere 1€ each (two-way) and didn't sign up for hotel. It was meant to be a 36hour no-sleep cheap trip to London was becoming quite a struggle. We just wanted to "party all night" look around the city and so on.... That is a really horrific experience. I am saddened she had to go through that. I am a citizen of the EU, so usually no questions asked on customs, and had big problems coming into the UK. And I didn't travek alone, we have been a group of six people.... Sometimes sh*t like this happens and despite people on here telling her it is her own fault... It's probably not. In my scenario it was a case of stereotype racism (as hard as it sounds) and it happens a lot. Standing at a railway station on my way to university: Full body search. Going to the Netherlands by train (I live pretty near to the border): Full body search. And the people who do this to me usually look a bit disappointed when they see I am a normal, and if I might add pretty cool guy. :-D That is life, that is bureaucracy, that is fear of stereotypes....
7. Stingray up for 1100€ (875GBP)
8. Looks beautiful and immaculate! GLWTS!
9. Alembic traded locally. Stingray and LeFay still up for sale.
10. Thanks. I looked it up in another database and it is June 1999 built due to serial number E086. Found similar bass with E085 in this database which gave it away as May 1999. E08 is 1999. Edit: The ash body has a very beautiful grain/texture. I will try to capture it on photo asap.
11. Updated bump.
12. Thanks Karl. That quote of course reflects what expertise Mr Tomson apparently has in his craft
13. Nut width 1.625" (~41mm) 24th fret width 2.360" (~60mm) I measured the thickness of the bass neck at the fifth fret and compared it to my JazzBass neck-thickness, which is almost the same. So I would say it is a little broader (compare nut width) than my JBs neck. It is a little less than with my Rebop (read that you have one and remembered mine had 1,64" width at nut).
14. Haha, respect you weren't tempted by that "girlfriend offer"... Got any pics? GLWTS, a beautiful Ray it is!
15. Because I was asked: Yes, I want 1300€ including shipping and I am aware that the Euro gets weak at the moment. So if it is less than 1000GBP converted, it is ok for me. ;-)
16. I consider it a very good price as well, thanks ;-)
17. Since I am in urgent need for cash to finance my studies, till sunday I will agree to ~1300€, which is currently about 1000GBP only!! 1300€ guys, I think this is very fair!
18. Price for each PU is 45GBP ono including shipping Both PUs in set are 90GBP ono including shipping Neck-PU: SKC-9W5 66-S Length = 91,5mm (Spacings up to 72mm ) Width = 18mm Depth = 21mm Mounting-ears: 38 mm from ear to ear (middle) 28 mm distance between the ears Pentacoil - hum cancelling N-S-N-S-N Bridge-PU: SKC-9W5 68-L L = 94,5 mm (für Spacings bis 74mm geeignet) W = 18 mm D = 21 mm Mounting ears: 40mm hole-mids 28mm in between Pentacoil . hum cancelling N-S-N-S-N Cables are still very long enough for mounting them. Best used in 5 string basses, but should be no problem for 4 string as well. If string spacing and dimensions matches your bass sweet spots of course . Any questions, PM ME! Based in Germany. Shipping is no problem for these small parts. I already shipped basses around Europe!
19. I am open for offers and partial trades, please just PM ME!
20. Thanks for the kind words. I hope you will get one soon .
