  1. Post holiday bump and a price drop. Having seen a number of very decent Precisions at phenomenally reasonable prices, I'm happy to do a further price drop - £650 or nearest offer. That's nearly a grand less than you'd pay for this new! Will
  2. Do you work in said shop MB1? When I say local shop I mean it's in Mcr, still a chain instrument shop! MB1. Local PM.
  3. Back up again, don't think I'll be getting on to BC for 10 days or so from Sunday, so get in touch next couple of days if you wanna make an offer, otherwise I'll et it drift for a while. Had a trade offer from a local shop which wasn't too bad at all, but would prefer this way!
  4. Birthday bump! Anyone want to buy this today and help me buy that Precision I've wanted for so long?! There are a couple on here I'd love to bid for, if only I had the funds! Have a lovely day peeps
  5. Hola Ian... bienvenido
  6. Beautiful bass Will! Have pm'd you.
  7. Thanks Dan! It's a beautiful bass, shame it's not got the fretboard you're after. I personally prefer rosewood on a Ray as it mellows the punchy sound a tad, but each to their own hey
  8. Still available! Potential trade fell through this morning so we're back on
  9. Keeping this up here till Sat then it's going. Any further offers? Happy to provide any other details needed
  10. Bump. Great trade offer made recently but am looking more specifically at something like a Mendel P or a Highway 1 P + some cash, or a simple sale. Happy to discuss anything that's just outside of that box

    Hi

Hi Spark, welcome to the forum! Nice rig you've got there, your basses look like brothers! Have fun
  12. Back up we go! I know it's not been on long but I've reduced the price having seen what other Rays seem to be going for. Get in touch for any more details
  13. Price Drop - £650 ono Hi all, Having introduced myself a few days ago, it's time to head this way to sell my beautiful 3 band eq EB Musicman Stingray. I bought it in 2002 and it's served me faithfully in a variety of settings over the last 12 years. Diversification (I'm playing 4 and 6 string these days) plus severe underuse, sadly forces sale, and with the money I make from this, I'm hoping to have most of the funds for a slightly lower end second hand Fender Precision and Fender Tele. The 'Ray is a beautiful translucent teal green (discontinued now I think?!) and has a very comfortable low action. The rosewood fretboard adds warmth to that Stingray punch we know so well. I only have travel scales at home (for suitcases), but I weighed it on the strap and it came in at 4.7kg. It has 4 dings in the paintwork on the underside, as the photo shows, and the expected buckle rash on the back, but for a twelve year old bass, looks almost as good as new from the front. Build quality is just as you'd expect from the factory in San Luis Obispo. Original hard shell case included in price. Reasonable offers will be considered, might also be interested in trading for a 70s style Fender P (Nate Mendel model esp) + cash. PM me or reply underneath for any more details. I'm based close to the centre of Manchester (easy bus ride from any train station) and would prefer to trade in person, having never sold a bass online before, but won't rule out arranging delivery at buyer's expense or meeting at a reasonable location. Cheers, Will
  14. Just joined the forum too, and am also here in sunny Manchester! Welcome to the forum
  15. Thanks for the welcome guys! Glad to be a part of this. And discreet - thanks for the advice, v. helpful.
  16. Alright there bass chatters. Joined the forum about a month ago and have been sneaking in the shadows for a while. TBH my main reason for joining was because I'm soon to try selling/trading my bass, but it didn't take long for me to see I'll be sticking around long after that, there's so much on here! I now Iive in Manchester, am a primary teacher, and have played bass in my spare time (church gospel band, live jazz/funk band) for about 14 years. Back in 2002 I bought a beautiful teal green MM Stingray, which has been my main instrument ever since. Love the tone and feel of it, but more recently have been much more into the P-bass tone, so I'll be letting her go soon to get myself a P instead. So, before I pop up on the for sale forum, I thought I'd say hello and make myself known! Thanks for the acronyms thread btw, I've been wondering what GAS means for a while now! Now I know. I've never sold anything this big online before, and tbh would prefer to exchange in person, but anyone got any tips for doing an online sale right so that you or the buyer don't get ripped off? Right that'll do for now, see you all about! Cheers, Will
