  1. Hehe, no problem, Nik. All's well here, thanks, hope you are, too. Just looking forward to getting back to some live bass playing (not to mention some "bass bashing"! )
  2. A House Is Not a Home - Luther Vandross (also Dionne Warwick and others)
  3. Well remembered, Nik. What you didn't remember is my Basschat ID, @Stingray5...! (Although outside, people do know me as "Stevie G", too, so I forgive you). More to the point - @seashell I'd like to just add my congrats for your "10th Bassversary". If you don't mind me saying, you've come a long way from the Jam Room! 👍😎👍 (I was searching for some photos from that very Jam Room session, but blowed if I can find 'em! )
  4. Happier Than The Morning Sun - Stevie Wonder
  5. What a beauty! That Dropped Copper body and the roasted neck make it a match made in heaven! 👍👍 GLWTS.
  6. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word - Reg Dwight
  7. Strawberry Letter 23 - Brothers Johnson
  8. Route 66 - Asleep At The Wheel (and many others)
  9. "The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy From Company B" - Bette Midler / The Andrews Sisters
  10. My bass rig back then was the HH IC100 head running into a 'back-breaking' Hi Watt 2x15 bass reflex cab. The chair was actually for me to sit on as, on some of our songs, I also played an Epiphone 12-string acoustic guitar and a set of bass pedals. (Not trying to do a Mike Rutherford/Genesis thing here.... much! )
  11. After a couple of cheapo starter basses, I bought a brand new Hayman 4040 (natural finish) from Sound City in 1972/3. New price back then was £148! I have great memories of that bass, I was in a Prog band (Artemis) and had that bass when we supported the likes of Camel, Egg and others. This pic is one of the few I have of me with the Hayman. GLWTS.
  12. Softly Whispering I Love You - The Congregation
