Hi Jimmy, nice to see an Atlantan(!) here. I used to love visiting my cousin there years ago. Enjoy Basschat, it's a great site and very friendly community.
-
Yep, I wouldn't mind seeing how the bass is doing, myself.
-
Indeed, it is a TW-300 though can't say there are any scratches behind the nut or dodgy notching on the bridge. Maybe it's one of those that you eventually got right!

Lovin' the guitars in this thread so here's my current crop. (yep, don't forget Guitarchat!) Yamaha Pacifica 604 (as good as any Strat!) Not that I have anything against Strats.... And I absolutely love my Tele... (no beauty shots of this as yet). Chappell C-101 Classical (bought new 40 years ago)... Tanglewood dreadnought acoustic. High action, so open-tuned, nice for slide guitar.

I dunno, you don't check on BC for a day or two and all hell breaks loose! Well, here's another 'old guy' saying welcome to the 'family' @pepsi-abi. I see you've already received a ton of good advice here (oh, yes, I've read through all 17 bl'min' pages! ) but it looks like you've also done your homework, too, so enjoy and have fun.

So, just how many basses do you own ????

I know the Fodera is nice, but those two Wal 6-ers.... Hubba-flippin'-hubba! -

I totally agree. I've actually been threatening to sell my Jazz bass for ages now (and still might) but everytime I play it, it just tugs at my heartstrings -- all four of 'em! -- and says, "Oi, NO!" -

Yes, I've often thought the same re the slight Alembic look with the Westones. Think it's the short horn that does it. Very versatile instruments, too. But you're more on the money with the Aria comparison as they came out of the same Japanese factory, Matsumoku, so have the same hardware, etc. -

L to R: Music Man Stingray 5 (1989) - Music Man Stingray fretless (2001) - Fender Jazz (USA Standard) (1998) - Tokai JazzSound fretless (198?). L to R: Westone Thunder II fretless (1981/82) - Westone Thunder II (1981/82) - Tune SWB4-BB (200?)* - Tune TWB-6 (1991) *(Note - photo of the Tune SWB4-BB is not to the same scale as the other photos. Body size is similar to the TWB-6) -
Well done, guys - good stuff! Lisa-Marie really has Kate's facial expressions down, too.

Aaargh, flippen' 'eck, ya got me, too! (Breathes genuine sigh of relief!)

How could I not....!

Ah yes, that man Mike; he does get around! I must say I have to agree with @spectoremg - inventive and certainly looks the part. And the name 'Fauxrus' - just genius!

Yep, my thoughts exactly. I'll be spending much of the time doing bass-related stuff and various other musical activities. But if I ever get bored with that (which, to be fair, is highly unlikely) I may actually and finally re-organize my sock drawer!!
-
A guitarist friend of mine gave me the heads up on this yesterday and I went ahead and downloaded it. Excellent stuff and regardless of whether or not it's your cuppa java, musically, there's no denying the musicianship here, not to mention the gesture itself.

Ready to sign once the petition has been checked and back online. -
I use bass pedals in Landmarq but to be honest it's a crude set up put together by our keyboard player. Organ bass pedals midi'd through a Roland processor and sent to the PA. Still does the job required though and when they grow up they want to be a set of Taurus pedals!

Hey Bob, good to see you here. Enjoy!
