Some VERY good news at last - live music back by the Spring?

That's a decent result! -
Does that sound like anyone we know talking to his missus?😁

That's frustrating, but fair enough eh? I mean people having a life on a Saturday night, what is the world coming to? 😁 -

"The UK Health Security Agency's Dr Jenny Harries said: 'Cases are rising rapidly across the country and the Delta variant is now dominant... It is encouraging to see that hospitalisations and deaths are not rising at the same rate.'" "The continued decline in Covid deaths means the virus is now the 24th 'leading' cause of death, down from ninth last month." Vaccines work. -

Well the missus has been persuaded, so I think I just might be joining her! Colchester here we come 😁 -
This little beauty (which I recently posted above), being beautifully played by it's previous owner to a standard that I can only aspire to! I Need to Dance · Jocee (spotify.com)

I completely agree! Been banging on about this for ages but folk point out that this and the OC-3 have been primarily geared at the larger guitar market - I guess that's fair enough. The clever trick would be for the bass switch to simultaneously reverse the range cut out as you suggest...Boss if you're listening, make our bass players' day! Go on, you know you can do it: if you can invent a SY-1 this isn't really going to be that hard 😁

Welcome to the Yamaha BB mega-thread 😁

THAT Andertons deal for the RH750...can I do better?
Al Krow replied to Moos3h's topic in Amps and Cabs
I'm just wondering where your beef is with DG's rating of the power output of their amp? It's the first time I've heard anyone rubbishing DG's own RMS rating and a bit of an odd thing to say if you don't have their amp / never tried one / don't have any evidence to the contrary? Either they are a trustworthy company or they are not. -

Ah ok. Well I'm good with trusting DG, even if you're not. My amp is plenty loud enough for me. Have you actually tried one and A/B'd it against any of your other kit? -

Al Krow replied to Moos3h's topic in Amps and Cabs
Ah ok - so you are saying the DG M900 is not 900W RMS at 4 ohms as per their manuals? Be interesting if you have any evidence to back that up - I'm certainly not aware of Dark Glass having a reputation for inflating the wattage ratings about their amps? -
Indeed! They're just my current flavour-of-the-month 5ers. And one of them is entirely Si's fault!

THAT Andertons deal for the RH750...can I do better?
Al Krow replied to Moos3h's topic in Amps and Cabs
We're now referring to the two amps immediately above Wat, ie the DG M900 is 900W RMS and the Bugera Veyron M comes in at around 800W RMS. I.e. we were not discussing the RH 750 wattage, which has been established by other folk to be somewhat lower! -
Aha! No I didn't know that. I thought you were a Lakland and more recently an Elrick man.

THAT Andertons deal for the RH750...can I do better?
Al Krow replied to Moos3h's topic in Amps and Cabs
I think folk have estimated it to be around 800W RMS at 4ohms. It claims to be 2000W peak. As we know the actual volume difference between 800W and 900W RMS is pretty small. -
THAT Andertons deal for the RH750...can I do better?
Al Krow replied to Moos3h's topic in Amps and Cabs
The bottom amp will go as loud as the one perched on top of it (which delivers 900W at 4 ohms) and will cost you £150 less than the RH 750 even at Andertons prices. In terms of value, it's pretty hard to beat. -
So you're not going to mess around with any of the basic BBs but go straight in at the top? 😁

This looks superb. Well done Q & FI team.

@PatrickJ be good to get your soundscape and FX settings you were using for future reference!

I guess we are very lucky with ours then. He's first love is Death Metal and can play loud! But when he's playing in covers bands he is super professional and will do whatever the venue needs - he completely gets that the volume of the band is pretty much dictated by the need to match the acoustic drums. -

I wasn't expecting to read this, this morning!! "The value of British music exports climbed to a record high £519million last year as the popularity of streaming on platforms like Spotify grew massively and made the country the second-biggest music exporter behind the United States." -

Pete - I don't quite follow being too loud to play outside venues? Can't you simply dial the volume down and get your drummer to use bamboo rods etc.? -

Those festivals look great - tempted to get along! (Particularly as the pub gig I mentioned above is also in Colchester!) -
Definitely looks great and sounds like an upgrade all round.

Nope just home noodling for now...
