  1. @Misdee I had the opportunity to A/B the Yamaha Billy Sheehan Attitude with a BBNE2 at the Yammy store in London back in 2018 (please see my post March 8th 2018, P13 of this thread) and wrote up a short review of each, in case of interest to you.
  2. My Mandarin / Cantonese is zero - but this gives you an idea of some of the neat features on this e.g. the touchscreen and being able to drag and drop your effects rather than needing to mess about with knobs. 【电吉他/贝斯/效果器】2020上海国际乐展Hotone最新单块式综合Ampero Stomp上手体验_哔哩哔哩 (゜-゜)つロ 干杯~-bilibili Elsewhere I've read that it also offers features found in some of top-end multifx's e.g. ability to draw the EQ curve you want. One impressive UI!
  3. Wonderful! Please feel free to play whatever style you would like that you feel shows off the capability of your EUB.
  4. @TheGreek I think your question is very similar to someone asking "Do you NEED more than one bass?" Well strictly, no...but I love having the basses in my herd.
  5. Yeah, I'm starting to get the message! If any of you good folk who have posted on this thread have any clips of you playing your recommended EUBs, that would be marvellous! Please feel free to share.
  6. Sounds good! And ignore the "gold" = "bling" brigade; whatever floats your boat is what counts!
  7. Very unusual! That's lighter than my most of my Ibbys (except the 7.7lb Portamento) and would be completely gob-smacking in fact! So either it was pretty unique and is worth an absolute fortune or there was a bathroom scale malfunction that day...😁
  8. I did clock you really liking the result of boosting the bass EQ whilst engaging the HPF on your Mesa D800+ a while back. And this seems, from the discussion above, to be a really good "take-away" point. If I recall correctly (without RTFM at this time of the morning when I should be working 😁) the Mesa bass EQ is centred at 80 Hz? Out of interest, how much were you dialling up the bass EQ by?
  9. I think the expectation was that the Ampero Stomp was going to be the Ampero One without the expression pedal. But looking at the spec sheet, the Stomp seems to be considerably souped-up e.g. ability to provide parallel effect routing and 12 effect blocks from its Tri-Core rather than dual core processor. Word on the street is that it will likely be at quite a premium in price to the Ampero One, to reflect this. Great that you've found the Ampero One to be terrific - I presume from that there's more than enough bass specific / bass usable effects to keep you happy?
  10. Some really useful practical perspectives from you both @Burns-bassand @Staggering on - for which many thanks! There are a couple of EUBs in the FS right now, both significantly above my £1k budget, but I must admit I'm more than a little tempted by one of them, despite it not having any side dots...😊
  11. Snap this up before someone else does! 😊 Peavey Max 158 bass combo *price drop to £75.00 - Amps and Cabs For Sale - Basschat Has a built in tuner and can double up as a headphone amp as well.
  12. Well I certainly liked the clean tone on your Spector Euro 5LX at the start of the clip 😊
  13. You must be one of these fabled 'best' bassists Paul! It was my privilege to have met you 😁
  14. Just to prove what a newbie I still am, I now need to go check what a "drone" is. I'm guessing it's not the same thing as used by the US armed forces...😁
  15. I'd have thought that "Hot one" would almost certainly be the correct pronunciation in Amsterdam?
  16. I can at least confirm that 😉
  17. This could be interesting - Hotone seem to be positioning themselves as a serious competitor to Helix. I really like the compact design, but pricing will be key. Has a powerful Tri-Core DSP processor which allows parallel routing with 12 simultaneous blocks in total.
  18. What is it with manufacturers not putting dots on the side? It's an absolute must for some of us beginner EUB bassists who normally play standard electric bass! I guess there is a relatively easy DIY hack that folk use to sort this?
  19. And not only that, but Zoom are facing some serious competition in the sub £150 price bracket e.g. from the Mooer GE150 (£126 Amazon) and Valeton GP 100 (£115 Thomann)
  20. Need - No. Want = really like having - Absolutely!
  21. But only (on this occasion, anyway - hehe) because you know you will love that bass 😊
  22. Mick - exactly, it's a Yamaha BB NE2 If you can find one used and fancy splashing out, you won't find a much better bass I know you're also a Spector fan - I did a comparison of the NE2 with my Euro LX5 recently on the Yammy thread (see "Unlikely Twins" post - 17 Dec). Both superb basses and with a strikingly similar set of high-end features.
  23. This should be excellent, looking forward to it. You're just missing a Valeton OC-10!
