That would have been very kind of you dB. It seems to me that 'growl' & 'bite' are integral to the AO pedal and DG have simply imported the AOmicron features lock stock and barrel on the AO900. They don't appear on the DG M900 v2. This has definitely become an official de-rail now - lol! Sorry!
-
You maybe right - my source of info was at 4.48 of this review by this crazy crew who's YT reviews I do enjoy a lot!
-
Agreed! Nope (my Mesa M6 doesn't have a built in comp so the Stella still has a place). But there will be a vgc DG M900 v1 wending its way to the FS very shortly...and the B3K on that amp does work very well with Yammy PJs (See what I just did there? Gave a forthcoming FS item a shameless plug Got things back on topic! ) ๐

Haha! You've rapidly taken the place of @lee650 as my biggest customer... who knows I may end up trading you it for a decent one-hand-carry112 cab in the near future ๐
-
The stellar Stella is also a VCA comp and got high praise indeed from Simon; but it's currently living on my home PB. A bit like you I'm also going to be using the built in drive on my amp and the Hyperluminal comp is included "for free" so it will be rude for me not to use it! ๐ Just glad that the AO drive is getting such unsolicited high praise from you as it just so happens to be the pre-amp drive stuck onto a pretty decent 900W power amp that's shortly making it's way over to East Landern, and is going to replace its predecessor DG M900 which has been my trusty engine-room for the past 18 months. You've defo got me looking forward more to this upgrade than I was 12 hours ago
-
That's a big vote of confidence from someone who knows a thing or two about great bass tone! Are you still making the pedal work well for you with your sets? Yup I should definitely get hold of one to put through its paces, maybe with a Hyperluminal VCA comp chucked in for free!

I've often felt that my Yammy BB's worked better than my J basses with the B3K drive on my DG M900 as the PJ tamed the fizzy top end of the B3K. (I seem to recall that @dannybuoy may have come to the exact opposite conclusion which just goes to show!) A few Yammy owners (past and present!) have mentioned they're also fans of the DG AO pedal and encouraged me to give the AO pedal a try out. I've not really been able to get my head around how best to articulate the difference between the B3K and the AO, but have stumbled on this YouTube post which has the B3K and AO A/B'd and played through a BB 735A. Bit of a niche post, I appreciate, but may be of interest to some...

An old but another excellent @mcnach thread worth me resurrecting, rather than starting something afresh on. So mcnach, dear chap, where did you land on in the end on your cab choices? I was really surprised to read in your OP that the TKS 1126 was mid scooped - I'd have wrongly presumed that with the dedicated 6" driver it would have nailed the mids (in the way that the Fearless 112 does). @Dad3353 really grateful if you could give this thread your magic touch refresh for us please, as there is a lot of useful BC wisdom on the earlier pages!

Ah yes, it's so obvious now you point it out! Now you come to mention Jamerson also played a Fender, so it must be true...
-
Why are your bass lines always better than mine, Dave? ๐
-
Really liked that @Twigman! Didn't miss the synth keyboards at all in the mid 8 - besides you could just get a Boss SY-1 and sack him ๐. Looked 500+ in the audience? Were you guys headlining?

What I want to know is what he's doing playing around with (and now dumping) Mr Travis' ex's? I hope he's not been spending too much time running his hand up and down their bodies ๐
-
I'm not actually sure that is permitted under BC house rules? ๐
-
Sneak preview then, what tasty items have you got for sale and what will you be playing instead of your BBs?
-
Fair - but this thread is just focusing on bands' videos rather than details of where gigs are happening etc. I guess if there's no demand for it, it will sink without trace! But I'd love to have one place to check out fellow BC'ers bands.
-
"... the buzz of a gig is hard to beat" Amen to that! Thought it would be great to have a dedicated thread where we share videos of our bands' live performance, both original and covers and also possibly some not so great experiences / stories to make us all feel better if you're feeling brave!
-
I think you've just gone and increased the sales price...๐
-
Gav - it's "overall" (= articulation, power handling & ouput, portability, build quality) the single best cab I have ever owned and I would happily recommend it to anyone. It literally was just a case of helping a mate out - the cab is brilliant. My BF SC will very adequately cover my gigging needs and one plus point of Dave taking the F112 off my hands is that my excellent Berg CN212 will be getting a lot more use now that it's not in competition with the F112 for regular / daily basement practise use
-
Cos a bass buddy had an immediate need for it, and I'm fine with the couple of cabs I still have. You know me well enough to know that it can be a while before I put my bass gear to best use, although I aim to get there in the end So I don't mind waiting a few months for a replacement, either used or new.
-
@dave_bass5 you're very welcome mate, it's always a pleasure to help a fellow BC buddy out; besides I got a free diagnostic of my Stomp when you popped over, which is now speaking to my PC again! The Fearless F112 is the best 112 cab I've ever had the pleasure of playing through. Frankly it holds its own not just against other 112s, but 210s as well. It has a clarity, articulation and punch to rival even a Berg CN212, which for me is high praise indeed! (Although as an 8ohm 112 it won't be as loud as a quality 4 ohm 212). And unless you decide to return this one (and I have first dibs if you do), I'm sure this won't be the only Fearless F112 I end up owning!
-
Now all we need is to get the camera to focus (I had the same issue with my gig video on Saturday night!) ๐
-
That will be a really nice combination - and you'll also have something very secure to post the bass in, should you need to!
