  1. Apologies if I am being unnecessarily picky, but not sure that last bit is quite right given the point about "Q" that John mentioned?
  2. And just taking that one step further, be interesting to know how narrow band the "Q" is on a normal (non-para) EQ with a fixed "Q" setting? I'm guessing pretty narrow?
  3. Yup - that should work. Fyi - the Bass GEQ effect on the B3n has a 7 band EQ including 400Hz and 800Hz which should pretty much get you there? If not, you can use the Para EQ to sort the 1kHz as you are proposing.
  4. Oh my...that does look like a nice piece of kit. Definitely warrants it's own thread Spyder!
  5. Paul very kindly drove for two hours (ok his Sat Nav was partly to blame) to collect a spare Ibanez case whose parting got me de-cluttering brownie points from Mrs Krow, and for which he very kindly decided to line my pocket. Great to have a quick catch up over a beer. As a fellow Ibanez (& Nordy Big Single) lover and BF SC user also playing in a covers band, well he's clearly a man of taste. Sadly I fear he may shortly be lost down a double Helix thread... Top gent - and more than happy to recommend dealing with him. Cheers, Bas
  6. Another Smoothhound fan here! The back panel issue you refer to - is that the plastic battery cover on the transmitter?
  7. Just sold Ed a pedal. Good comms and quick payment; in fact a completely hassle free transaction. Very happy to recommend. Hope you enjoy the pedal! Cheers, Bas
  8. Would you trade it for my 1962 Fender P, only-one-ever-produced-and-hand-built-by-Leo-himself-on-his-weekend-off, bass? (Please reply quickly as I've only got a short while before MB1 comes along and says something about trades and Prime Ministers...)
  9. Yup it makes good sense at 4ohms, for sure. But my current regular gigging cab is 8ohms... And I'm about to get a Fearless F112 cab (which is also 8 ohms and before you ask, nope I'm not planning on pairing them up to get a 4 ohm load 😃) I came across this rather 'on point' thread from a couple of years back which was very useful for my set-up-to-be and also a little bit fruity...
  10. Excellent! If I remember your posts correctly - neck through is not your thing, you prefer bolt-ons. Until now 😊
  11. I've just met up with a very talented pro bass player and he's indirectly traded me my black Yammy BB735A for his white Yammy BBNE2!! The folly of youth. ...ok so there may be have been a bit of a time gap (a couple of years) between the two events and effectively some (ok quite a lot!) net cash flowing from me to him (so it wasn't actually a trade) but even so! Looks like I am going to have to change my avatar now though, and also rue the fact that he's living my dream... 😂
  12. Diagonal body stringing - does it make any difference to the tone? We had a little discussion on this very point a couple of week's back - I've cut and pasted the relevant comments in case they are helpful for your Q below. In short, the answer seems to be "no"
  13. This does look good! I've just spotted it's 400W at 4ohms => 200W at 8ohms. I think I'm going to have to wait for the R750 to hit the shelves!
  14. Thanks Tony, we will get back to you on this, no need to contact us further... 😂
  15. Sorry couldn't resist making the 1900th post on this ridiculously active thread about basses which some of us clearly love a LOT! I think the 40 pages or so we've posted since the start of 2019 have entirely coincided with a certain Andy Travis getting back his Yammy bug!! 😄
  16. As a big Mesa M6 fan who has been tempted to get the WA Scout combo on several occasions, the above "candid" posts have been really helpful. Much appreciated, thanks.
  17. PM'd re the NE1. Let's see if this can turn my BB 1025 into a BB NE2!
  18. Definitely the "S" (with the active / 3 band EQ) and BB1100 looks the right model too, now you mention it
  19. +1^^ ! Which model is it? If that's your first Yammy then welcome to the BB club btw!
  20. +1^^ and BF are also obviously much loved. Seems to me for your needs, you could do far worse than: One cab solution - VK 210 LNT 4 ohms (1200W AES power handling) Two cab solution - BF SC x 2
  21. Great minds think alike and B1(X)-4 owners seldom differ eh? 😄
  22. 23 lbs. Including lid? Hmmm... that could be just about manageable.
  23. I can't speak for what goes on in Europe, but my string plucking hand only had five last time I checked...
