  1. I have to agree with you that the 425 is one of the punchiest basses around! I also very much agree that the P34 / P35 are really nicely weighted and balanced which makes them a pleasure to 'wear' and play. In terms of tone I'd say that: BB 425 pups = flatter, more kick BB 1025 / P35 pups => more complex overtones, less kick / more 'civilised' than the 425 (but certainly not 'polite' in the sense that the Delanos on my Berg were 'polite'). The 1025 / P35 can both produce a tasty growl when you dig in! Looking forward to getting your thoughts when you've got a set of strings on that you really like and have A/B'd both basses through a quality rig.
  2. @krispn You've exactly nailed it, mate.
  3. Looks like we Stomp owners are going to be splitting into brainers and no-brainers then. Guess that makes me a brainer? 😂
  4. It's kinda interesting to see Boss move away from their iconic "Boss pedal" housing.
  5. Does look good. But at that size could have maybe included an hpf & lpf to provide a 'killer' product.
  6. A huge number of Fender basses for sale on all bass forums, when taken together => must be a really shite brand right? There is not one single Yamaha BB 1025 for sale in the whole of the UK currently** on any bass forum => clearly this must the very best bass available today!! But obviously neither statement is correct. ** if there is, please shout - as there's a queue on the Yammy BB thread for one!
  7. Sold Dave my MS-60B pedal. Very smooth transaction, good comms throughout and a pleasure to deal with. Enjoy the pedal! Bas
  8. That does all make very good sense, for you. But I suspect the number of Stomp owners who will also be getting Native is going to be a relatively small minority? Anyway I've just registered my Stomp as a precaution in case I ever decide on joining another minority
  9. Thanks Luke, I appreciate your words of wisdom and encouragement. 😂
  10. Dimensions: 410mm x 201mm x 62mm Weight: 3KG => Bigger than Stomp; smaller than Helix LT
  11. Yet. 😁
  12. It's out! £665 at Andertons and Gear4Music But already just £581 at Juno...
  13. 👍 Gotcha
  14. ...oh dear I've just seen that the Mooer GE 300 is out. I'm already distracted
  15. A bigger discount than Future Impact pedals are going for. At the end of the day, it's supply and demand.
  16. Unless, of course, the original owner didn't fork out £79 for Helix Native so it should be still available to the next guy? Let's face it, how many of us have / will get both Stomp plus Native? Seems a bit pointless to me. If you've got a Stomp and the free HX Edit then the two together do everything that Native does.
  17. You would have thought that the intention was for the discount only being one Helix Native per Stomp (and on a first come first served basis), rather than one circulating Stomp enabling the entire guitar and bass playing community to get a discount on Helix Native?
  18. ... and the trouble is they are great basses, so I totally get why you're after one and why folk are holding onto theirs!
  19. Wow, congrats Dave!! 8 days to go from a BB425 to a BB P34. Took some of us a couple of years to make a similar journey! 😀
  20. This thing is tiny !!!! Handles 600W at 4 ohms through 2x10" plus 1x5" to provide added mid punch. Omni directional sound - which I guess will work well as both stage monitor and audience cab, but query whether you're going to end up with 'wasted' sound watts? Frequency Response: 40 Hz - 16 kHz Designed for acoustic and electric instruments including bass, guitar and keyboards It weighs, wait for it... ...just 15 lbs Oh, and did I mention it's tiny? It's just 12" high and 11" wide. Competition for my BF SC? Very possibly.
  21. A feeling that my Ibanez fives are starting to share 😂
  22. Haha - there you go. Clearly multiple ways to skin a cat. And no right answer to which end you should crack open an egg. I'm much happier with the software editor, others prefer the pedal interface. Whatever works, eh? 😄
  23. Also now fixed 😁
  24. That is high praise indeed! I've often thought that the Black Tiger has visual resemblances to an Alembic, albeit with a longer top horn which also works well and gives it its own 'look'. Perhaps much more importantly, from what I've heard from posted clips, is a very different sound to the Alembic which brings one of the most sophisticated set of electronics to the party, and these days a price tag to match!
