Oh I agree! You'd be surprised how many Stomp / Helix LT / Helix Full Fat owners haven't ventured into HX Edit. Why do you think there is a regular stream of Helix's in the FS? And I've got other software progs to download yet (Source Audio, Future Impact). You gotta remember that not all bassists' primary goal in life is to be spending vasts quantities of their lives computer editing; and that's a big attraction of dedicated analogue pedals, right? HX Edit Probably been mentioned already several times before, but my understanding is that HX Edit + Stomp = HX Native i.e. HX Edit isn't some cut down version of HX Native in terms of what it allows you to do. Other than, of course, HX Native doesn't require the pedal hardware to generate sound! HX Edit is completely free to download. And it's going to make the Stomp a lot more accessible (for me anyway!) and a lot more fun. Just like ToneLib with a Zoom B1X-4 or MS-60B. Game on

Indeed, but if I sell my Stomp I presume that will be because I don't want to use it any more, or because something better has come along? 😉

Or I could just use the (free?) Helix HX editor and not pay a penny more?

I'm perhaps a bit weird in having my premier rig set up in my home studio - it's where I get to hear all the nuances of bass tone that we BC'ers eternally pursue. Playing live with a full rock band and ear plugs, nuances of bass tone for me (and everyone else!) are just lost! I've discovered that the Zoom B1X-4 multifx has an underlying 'digital noise' when notes are played. Something completely unnoticeable in a live situation, so that little pedal is working just fine for live use for me, right now. But now I've picked up on this digital noise (ped's fault!) and having a Berg CN212 cab that has greater articulation and clarity than anything I've had before, means I find his noise a distraction for home studio use. A bit long winded (apologies) but that's why the Stomp has made a return to my home board!

Haha sure. But may not get the Mooer GE 300 until late 2019 (would make for a nice b/day pressie), and possibly never at all if it proves to pants for bass!

OC-10, OC2, OCD - I can see this could get confusing! 😂

Valeton OC-10 for the closest thing to an OC2 (if that's the sound you're after?) available in the market today. It's also a lot more compact plus rugged build, and a new one will set you back literally half the cost of a 30 year old OC2.

Was setting up for a wedding gig at the Meridian hotel yesterday afternoon which is just opposite Waterstones Picadilly and his book signing!! Managed to miss both the great man and the 'fly past' of the world naked bike ride. Ah well, having already got my Amazon copy, I guess I saved £60 and also managed to keep my kit on! 😁 He still remains, for me, one of the best bassists ever and I'd love to see him play live some time soon...

Is that a completely unmodified 614, Andy? One of the earlier posts mentioned the EQ being a bit harsh and swapped out (I think) for an OBP3.

So you can have both serial and parallel effects internally on the Stomp. (In contrast only in-series available on the Zoom multis so would need an LS-2 or similar to get a comparable result AND require external dedicated pedals). Not aware that you can set up different effects patches in parallel on the FI in the same way you can do on the Stomp - but please correct me if I have that wrong!

The above gentleman has already caused the board update below to be out of date! Lol! Bit of a back to the future (impact) for me with both Stomp and FI back on the board. Said farewell to two filter pedals (Fwonkbeta and MXR BEF) one mini multifx (MX-60B), two comps (Keeley Bassist and TC Spectracomp) - decent comp on both my Zoom B1X-4 and a multiband on the Stomp. New at the end of the board with XLR output is the Q\Strip which was recently traded in exchange for a Yammy BB 425. Space on the board for Gecko Mk III midi control, in due course, and Mooer Lofi incoming to provide a pretty decent bitcrush / sample rate reduction. Particularly chuffed at finally getting the HX Stomp and SA Hub (both via USB) and Panda FI (via Roland UM-One midi interface) all connected up to the PC to enable easy access to software editing. Should keep me out of mischief for the rest of the summer Zoom B1X-4, as a slimline easy gig-bag-fit all in one pedal board / tuner / headphone amp, continues to provide all I need (for now!) for rehearsals and gigs. ... oh yes and I almost forgot! My much loved Valeton OC-10, which does a better Boss OC-2 tone than anything else I've come across, has been rendered otiose and is now in the FS. That is entirely down to the amazing new patches that @Quatschmacher has recently been putting together for the FI:

Wow - that is saying something about how good this pedal is! Have to admit I'm planning on still having both sitting next to each other on my board for the foreseeable future, there are some things (like parallel routing of effects for clean blend) that are easy to do on the Stomp but not sure could be done on the FI and obviously there are a whole bunch of additional effects available on the Stomp; the FI does what it does incredibly well

I've had a couple of BC'ers mention to me that they were interested in getting hold of a Yamaha BB 1025 (or 1025X). Just had a trawl through various bass websites on their behalf and managed find a grand total of ZERO currently available for sale in the UK! Are these starting to become 'collectables' or do you guys know of any in vgc that might be available?

Bought Graham's HX Stomp off him - condition as described and well packaged and sold on at a very fair price (as has been commented by both the above posters). He wasn't on the forum much this week, but did provide me with reassurance of when it would be arriving, which it duly did!

Dave popped round to trade his Q\Strip for my Yammy BB425 (and generously donated a supply of 9V batteries to me for good measure!) Very pleasant evening's chat over a beer. He's a top guy!

Speaking of awesome demos... I think the very last one (which Q posted on a FI FS thread) is missing from his earlier post above. These are seriously good octaver patches. Q has informed me that the FI tracks all the way down to a low E (wow!) and possibly even lower. I'm seriously thinking of moving my moving my Valeton OC-10 on!
