1. Are you running the full range of the bass through it?!
2. Sterling H, all years, can switch series/parallel/single coil on a ceramic magnet pickup. The HH and HS models are ALL series mode. Unless things have changed or I've made a mistake!
3. It's quite a step forward in technology, but there comes a point when you think, do I NEED something to be this small and light....
4. Yeah they will struggle to sell those cabs at that price.
5. Made in the UK?!! Maybe working with a manufacturer we all know?
6. Yeah the new Rics are just INSANELY expensive. I won't be buying new unless I see offers from now on.
7. I own both amps, and they are tonally quite different.
8.
So to order, HH with matching headstock is £2,250 and six months wait time!! There's a nice starry night on eBay in the US that would come in significantly under that, even with duty etc......
WHATTT!?! The wait time I understand; the guitar side of MM has rocketed recently. I hate to make the situation worse but I paid around £900 less than that for a Sterling 5 HS in tobacco burst/with rosewood board, and it was only a few years back.
9. £75 on some websites.
10. Orange. Sparkly.
11.
The price for the cabs is a complete joke. The 'relaunch of the relaunch' of Trace Elliot by Peavey has left me completely underwhelmed: a single head, two expensive minature cabs and two oversized pre amp pedals.
Boom! Exactly. You wonder how these people get jobs.
12. Basically a tweaked and upgraded LM3, which should have been done years ago!
13. The 2x8 is craaaaazy money!

15.
All a bit sad given that it's clearly a very nice bass, though seriously over-priced.
This is mainly due to the plummeting £. They shot up in price. Another example - Musicman St Vincent guitar was £1799-1899.... Now....£2229 +
16.
There's always room for just one more 😀
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
17. Nice! I have no more room for any more Musicmans, but that is a nice bass!
18.
Picking up my Helix LT this evening..... quite excited.... sad I know!
Make sure you update it immediately and watch a few tutorial vids....allow yourself a good weekend to get used to the initial use. I've not even started using it on bass yet!
19. I've learnt about snapshots and using my amp asa power amp over the past few days.
20.
Were the patches a success?
Yes thanks, and I spent a fair whilst learning it from scratch! Popped you an email back but as an update I've got used to using the IRs.
21.
I'm really interested in the helix LT, currently just have a zoom b3 for effects like fuzz / distortion / chorus and use the sansamp emulator for my standard tone into a tb500.. I'm curious to know how good the valve amp emulator sounds and also how good the fuzz and distortion is. Usually with digital fuzz effects you lose quality in comparison to say an analogue pedal. I *was* considering getting a sansamp and a couple of other pedals for live gigs but this looks like it can cover the lot! I also play through an AD200B (when my back feels up to it) and I wouldn't need any amp or cab emulation with that, just effects, but as much as I love it I'm considering selling this to fund a helix.
Whilst I will mainly use Helix for guitar, I sold my full Orange bass stack because of the size and weight. The amp sounded glorious but I didn't need it. A good quality solid state bass amp and lightweight cab, or indeed a powered cab, add Helix to those, done.
22. Stingray all the way. That tone is the best bass tone I've personally heard. But, I'm biased.
23. Nice work and good price.
24. I'll be trying this one!
25. Scrap what I said, I'm keeping it.
