The problem is, even as primarily a bass player, i'd much rather watch the guitar videos. I don't think it is the presenters, I think it is more related to the fact that two basses noodling around isn't that exciting. They need a guitarist or even some electronic drumming to just 'play along' whilst they demonstrate how the bass 'cuts through' etc...or provides a good backbone to the band. Maybe even play along to backing tracks...with the bass high in the mix.
This to me is quite clever. Almost every multifx has its critics in relation to the dirt and fuzz . This embraces it. Use your favourite dirt boxes in the proper position in the chain, and let the boss do everything else. Brilliant! Im Not up with fancy switchers etc... does this allow you to mix andatch what loop gets used where? For 3xample could you have two patches identical apart from loop1 and loop2 switched in order?
Exactly. I have an ES-8 which I'm yet to delve into but the only downside with this MS-3 is you can't change the order of the external loops without physically moving the pedals. Not a HUGE deal as there are only 3.

To be fair, they are DESTROYING the competition in terms of online presence. Recently, they have started to stock: Spector Darkglass Chowny LOTS of Musicman ...the list goes on. Whilst I am no longer in the market for any bass gear apart from the odd pedal, mainly as I don't need anything but also because recent prices are insane, I would imagine Andertons would get my business on new bass gear due to the great service they provide. Places like GAK just cannot compete.

Jees. That is awful service and in my opinion is worthy of a separate thread to warn people.
Something I should know? Should I stop being polite ? I went to msl and got a response in about half an hour, hopefully I'll get a better solution from them direct.
I have given them chances time and time again. I would probably do it again. But, I have to say the service I have received from them over my gear buying years has been pretty poor. I would be firm but stay polite...I really don't think the wear and tear you are experiencing is acceptable.

Oh no.....not GAK after service 😩

Don't worry I've whinged about price rises enough!

I thought the front panels were made of some sort of metal?!
Moved by it all. Doesn't matter whether you're a fan of some of the music or not, everybody absolutely nailed it. Music brings people together and this definitely has shown that. Credit must go to the production team for this event, it was less than 8 days they had to put this together!
Exactly. Shows what can be done in a short space of time. It was pretty flawless in terms of organisation and the Police/staff were all in high spirits. I do think this demonstrates that maybe more of these events should take place for charity. Musicians giving up time and effort and all proceeds to a good cause.

I went along as it's local to me, close to work, easy to get the tram in, etc, and I wanted to put some money into the fund and thought this was the perfect way to do it. We were lucky to get tickets. Many many people seem to be absolutely shocked that I can quite happily go from a more niche gig like Minus the Bear or a small punk band, then go and see big stadium indie bands and even, shock horror, pop. Ariana Grande is a very talented vocalist and entertainer. She seemed very humbled by the support. I applaud her for coming back to Manc after the horror events that happened at her gig. Yes, she is famous, but she is a human like all of us, and that event will no doubt affect her for the rest of her life. I imagine it goes even as far as feeling guilty knowing what happened when people came to see her. The highlight for me was Liam Gallagher. You could feel the anticipation in the air as the guitars and amps were turned on and everyone was looking at each other wondering. No other guitar bands were on the bill after Coldplay so it was a clue as to who was next. I know Oasis are one of those bands that divide opinion, but after growing up in the brit pop era, I still think they are one of the best proper bands we have produced in a long long time. Forget whatever each Gallagher gets up to, when it comes down to it they have written some absolutely stunning albums and have a huge amount of b-sides that were good enough to fill more and more albums. They just churned out countless anthems and they did it properly like the bands they were influenced by. Coldplay are a bit of a 'wet' band, but I've always respected what they do, and they have some fantastic songs. X&Y was a great album for me. As soon as they came on it was obvious how different a full band sounds on top of their game over a pop act with backing bands. It sounded huge. Despite being manufactured pop, Little Mix can sing incredibly well compared to some of the previous bands of their type. I think they are good at what they do. I've always like Black Eyed Peas, but I wanted more songs! Same with Pharrell....

I'm super happy with mine. In fact it's one of the coolest Fenders I've played in years. They've also gone up by around £200 since they came out.

Scott Devine giving away 7 Sire basses.

No desire to try and win one. He's a good bassist, and no doubt a fantastic teacher, but I do not have the time to play as much as him or the hours he says you need to put in. Plus, I'm happy with what I can do and I can challenge myself by playing to songs I don't know. I'd rather learn more guitar if I'm honest. -
Have the prices gone up as well as the difficulties with the £? A fairly simple P bass, 5 string, normal colours etc is now about £1350....
A man after my own heart Tobacco burst, lollypop tuners! Si
Yesssss!

For that price, YES!
Mark Arm is alive and well...
True!

Is Vedder the only major grunge frontman left? Scrap that, Billy Corgan....he is also very talented. Vedder is yet another example of a stunning voice. I often see the older Pearl Jam as much more sensible and clean cut compared to the other bands....I hope Vedder is looking after himself!
Keep checking these. Is Hartke a good brand?
I'd say out of the sale, the LH500 is a steal! They make solid bass gear IMO...and the LH500 is a great amp. I used one for backline for a small your and it sounded great.

Hmmm....a 5 string Jazz, P/J Aguilar pickups, no pickguard, binding on the neck....dots....sunburst.....hmmmm
Biggest shocking one since Kurt for me, my immediate circle of proper friends from school, college and uni etc are all massive fans, most of us passed our driving tests between around 1993-1995 so most journeys involved some sound garden, not crashing a car while air drumming to rusty cage is a skill in itself! In fact I think my friend might have crashed his Nissan micra through a hedge whilst enjoying some sound garden. Ah man
Aye....it literally is one of the key bands I got into at what...13 years old. Superunknown just hasn't aged....well it has but more like a fine wine! Kurt's passing was a big deal for me, as well as Tony Sly from a fantastic melodic punk band called No Use For A Name, and obviously Bowie...which was a HUGE shame. When people who you have looked up to die at a fairly young age, it is a real shock. It makes you realise how fast time passes and that those teenage years of being carefree are well and truly gone.
-
....apparently he had only just played a gig a few hours before.

I've had their vinyl reissues in my basket on Amazon for a while and guess what, the prices have just jumped up....not sure how I feel about that. Sad news.
-
What?! Are you kidding? I don't get chance to listen to much music in the mornings as I'm in a rush. Guess what I had on? Black Hole Sun....and last night I was looking into rotary pedals for the amazing tone they get on this song. This is crazy. Totally out of the blue.
-
If I was gigging I'd easy get that LH500.
-
They are probably a nicely made bass but IMO, over priced in the current market.
