I still have my USA Sterling 5 HS from, wow, it's coming up to maybe 11/12 years old?! The build quality is absolute perfection. It needs new strings soon again. Big shame they don't currently make them. I hope they get them back as Sterling Specials soon.

The two pickup Stingray/Sterling has the original back H in the same position....

Depends, I actually really like the colour the Aguilar DB cabs add to a sound, more so the DB12/DB212.

I never did get one! They looked great. Wish Kiesel would get them made and distribute in the UK.

I still rate the TC amps and cabs. They really had a grip on the market for some time. I can't believe it has been 14-15 years! Really?! I have 2 x RS210, covers, footswitch, RH750 and the bag and I enjoy them still. I actually don't think we have moved on THAT far since the Genz Benz/TC/Markbass amps of 10 or so years ago.

Well it is for Genzler...news for them. I am a user of Genz Benz amps and I have a LOT of respect for their technology in the bass amp/cab world. Why would I want to generate google hits? Compared to guitar amp pricing now, we have it pretty easy! I understand the issue with Gibson and the crazy price jumps, so I understand why people might not be happy, but for once I'm pretty sure £1550 ish seems fair for the top of the line USA made product.

My word they don't look that great, IMO.

I really like these JD models. Simple and stripped back. Love the natural. EBMM have mostly changed into a MUCH more limited run type company now for the USA models, with higher pricing. Gone are the days of seeing a load of Stingrays at £1400 on the wall.

What is the One4th? A new 1x10?

The unfortunate part of this is that the Classics, whilst they came out say 10 years ago, were also less than half the price of these new (4 string versions). I picked up a Classic 5 Stingray (the best bass guitar I've ever owned!) for about £1600 brand new. Prices are crazy in 2023.

My advice - get a HX stomp. Fantastic piece of equipment, especially if you also tinker with guitar.

It's worth considering not that long ago, you could get a Musicman Stingray H (USA) with a hardcase for around £1300-1400. This is absolutely absurd money, and just like the latest 'high end' Epiphones, I doubt they will sell many.

No real bass support at launch is POOR.

For Ampeg, those cabs are exceptionally light.
