1. Thats a looker!
2. I have 3 new Fenders. I shopped around for years for a decent 'modern' Fender and gave up for a few years. I had a 2000 ish USA Jazz for a week and it was awful. I was so disappointed. I swapped that at the shop and they sent it back, and I ended up with the 2nd Stingray as in my sig. But...Fender has always been right for me. I have a 2003 ish Telecaster and its a beautiful guitar. When I moved home and had more cash, I realised the new 08/09 American Series was getting rave reviews. What I liked from the write-ups was the new case, new bridge, rolled fingerboards, glossy fingerboards, colour scheme, and a sound that was miles away from the poor Jazz I tried in 2000 ish. Now? I have 3. 2 P's and 1 J. Fantastic for the price. All three of them thump exactly how I wanted a Fender to! Plus, the necks/bridges/cases are fantastic for a mass produced instrument. There are still 'bad versions' out there. But the good ones are EXCELLENT. Yes there are minor 'niggles' with each instrument, but I would be picking at 'tiny' little things that most instruments under £1.5K would have, like very very minor flaw in the paint, you wouldnt see it unless you looked it up and down closely. I am extremely happy with my 3. Plus...all together, they cost less than a US Sadowsky. Ive not played many other P's apart from Fender P's, but my Jazz, IMO, sounded and felt better than a Sadowsky Metro UV, and was less than half the price. The P's thump and punch like crazy. You need to try another!
3. Clarky and I had never met until I picked up the Fender Precision that he has just sold to me. A thoroughly nice chap, and definitely on the same wavelength when it comes to music/bass tone. Precision/Jazz and punk! Clarky kept in touch right from the go with information, pictures, and honest information. After knowing how trustworthy he was, I sent the payment for the bass via bank transfer without seeing it/playing it. I met him in a pub near Oxford Street tube and picked up my new Precision! Its exactly the colour and spec I was after. As I had already seen in the pictures, the case was virtually unused and the case candy was still sealed up. I even got the tag that Fender put round the tuning pegs! I also got an official black guard thrown into the deal, and it’s fitted with TI flats. Ive always wanted to try flats, so this was a perfect buy. This is now my main bass that I will gig with. Clarky is a truly trustworthy and decent guy. Quick and successful sale! Im looking forward to using the bass for the majority of my gigs. Buy/sell with Clarky with absolute confidence. This bass was in perfect condition. He looks after his gear just like I do. Cheers Gareth
4. Recently sold my as new Line 6 DL4 + Line 6 Mains Adapter to Josh/Clam. Josh kept in touch all the way through the transaction. I was paid very quickly, and sent the pedal + mains adapter out the very next day Sell to Josh with confidence; another genuine Basschat member! Thanks Josh! Gareth
5. I have to say these are very very good cabs....especially in that colour!
6. Even though ive not yet met Clarky, we are in a transaction at the moment and he is ultra helpful and friendly!
7. If you are intending to slap....dont go for the HH....you have to adjust your technique as you have a lot less room. I tested the new HH's and they have a lot of tonal options, but for me the classic H is just exactly what Im looking for. I couldnt get the exact Stingray tone from a HH, but that could have been a number of things causing that. I'd like a Sterling with H + S though!
8.
Many Thx for all your replies , I really appreciate your advise. I think i will take up stevefletch59s offer of listening to the Bergantino HS410 first and see how it sounds. And then possibly a trip to Matamp in Meltham and see what they have. Not really bothered too much about cab weight. I may have to consider getting a more powerful amp though If I was to go for the Bergantino HS410. I bought the Hartke 3500 head about 5 years ago and to be honest I have never had the chance to listen to anything else .It has been a good and reliable head. Once again many thx to you all..
The HS410 is incredible!
9.
+1 from me on the Stingrays, like them so much I got two!
+1 Same here.... Classic tone. The neck is very comfortable, and ive not got large hands. The best things about the 'Ray are: The style, the brilliant position for resting your thumb on the pickup, and the awesome powerful cutting tone.
10.
Ngggarrghhhhh (resist, resist!!!!)
+1 I bet this is awesome....but I have no room Or money!
11. One thing to think about, which swayed me massively with the Ampeg SVT CL, is that its 4 ohms. I dont always use a 4 Ohm cab!
12.
i blame the ashdown cabs.
+1
13. I agree. He seems like a top bloke. Just wish he had a better Jazz tone! But, good on him!
14. These guys have come quite far to get Fender signature instruments....bet thats quite an epic feeling. As much as I like bass a lot more, im not as into the bass in Biffy as I am the awesome Strat sound.
15. Good quality OBBM cables are the best option
16.
Probably won't make it to the bash! I am planning to go to the Matamp factory though on Thursday. I might feel my empty wallet cry just a little bit
Im avoiding that place until I have £1500 saved up. Then im off to ask them to make the coolest looking amp ever....simple as that. Has to be ridiculous, dirty, and full of awesome tone
17. Please delete!
18. Whoops, slightly pointless. Looks like its sold already!
19. Hi guys This is all boxed, still bagged, instructions not even properly read! I just dont have much time for guitar and effects at the moment. Everyone knows how good the delay is on this thing....amazing! This is in brand new unused condition, never gigged, hence the price. Included is the Official Line 6 Power Supply....which is £20 in some shops. £160 + P&P for the lot. No need for pics really, as its brand new. Everything with it, bank tranfer please. EDIT: May be sold...update later. Cheers

Line6 M9

This pedal looks great. More so for my guitar playing...and will basically give me everything I want in one box! My main Q is, is it exactly the same as the DL4 as in has all the DL4s effects and does exactly as the DL4 does? Cheers
23. Thats a lovely looking instrument. What a colour!
24.
I'd spend some time gigging with the J and P you have now, and see which one you feel suits your sound the best, and call it that way. If you're looking for something to be your long term 'main' instrument, you're in the lucky position of having your two top choices already, so take your time and see what works!
Good advice I realise I am lucky.....I have a very good position with money until the end of this year, then im going to be moving and wont have the cash anymore. Plus Ive sold my car to move to London and share the girlfs....but eventually she will sell hers as well. Tube is the future. Over the past 5-6 years ive barely bought any gear, then this year I went mad. I think because I discovered I could buy/sell well on here and also find the 'right' gear much quicker.
25. VT always sells well. If I didnt have the BDDI and Tone Hammer id be after one. I just wish they'd make a better 'looking' casing for it!I bet it lasts well, I just dont like the design. The actual pedal sound itself is awesome. Goof luck with the sales
