  1. Does the Ashdown sub octave pedal mirror the sound of the effect on the Ashdown amp? I'm looking for a pedal that does Trying a mate's Boss OC-3 and it ain't cutting it
  2. Ok thanks for the thought I wasn't planning to go to the bash, and the bass is now sold
  3. Bought a lovely Cort 5 string bass from David. Exactly as described, very well packed and arrived early. Thanks David Top Seller
  4. Bass Collection basses are fab. I've had both the power bass and the Bruce Thomas Profile bass. Excellent both of them, not sure why I sold either of them tbh....oh yes, I remember GAS!
  5. Our's isn't either. They must be the only two quiet lead guitarists in the known universe
  6. I'd keep it....frighten the life out of your lead guitarist at gigs 🤣
  7. Harley Benton MB-5 SB Deluxe Series £100 NOW SOLD Selling my Harley Benton 5-string Musicman clone One heck of a bass for 'night-out' money and I'm only moving it along as the string spacing is a tad too tight for me. Purchased a couple of years back from @WAYNESWORLD of this parish and only used at home I've used his pics - hope that's ok @WAYNESWORLD The pickup is split coil with 2 volume knobs which allows a bit of tonal variation. Sound and playability is great for such a low-cost bass. Collection from Nottingham or I can pack and ship but probably looking at £15-£20 or can meet up if it's not too far. £132 off Thomann and mine is like brand new - can't find a mark on it Here's the blurb 5-String Deluxe Series Body: Basswood Bolt-on neck: Maple Neck profile: D Fretboard: Maple Radius: 350 mm 21 Frets Scale: 864 mm Nut width: 45 mm Double action truss rod Headstock is same colour as the body Pickups: 1x Humbucker with coil split function 2x Volume- and 1x tone control Chrome hardware Vintage style machine heads Pressure diecast bridge Strings: .040 - .125 Colour: 3-Tone Sunburst
  8. I have the fretted version of this and it's immense considering it cost (used) not much more than a set of TI Flats.
  9. G'day You're welcome and as there's an Ashes series coming up which looks like it might be very competitive, it'll be good to get an Aussie perspective. Did someone mention cricket....I did but I think I got away with it 🏏
  10. I set everything flat and then bleed in some gain
  11. Restaurant crowds are the worst, they're not there for the music.
  12. Anyone tried one of these? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255680482871 I'm thinking about one but am hesitating as I'll probably leave it on bypass and never use all the available tones Bit like me and pedals - buy one, try it, chuck it in the drawer and then flog it 6 months later
  13. Bass Collection Power Bass Now Sold. 1 hour....is that a record? In very good used condition. It's had an upgraded loom fitted with upgraded pots and a green Russian PIO capacitor. Sounds like a pbass with a bit of 'grand piano' edge. Includes the strap if you need it. No case but will be securely packed for shipping by courier at your cost or collect from Nottingham or reasonable distance meetup.
  14. Went to see Remi Harris at Peggy's Skylight in Nottingham last night. He's touring his Peter Green tribute show. He is an awesome guitarist and the band are pretty good too. If you like Peter Green/Blues music, I'd recommend catching this. https://www.manoftheworldmusic.com/
  15. I have one, it rocks. Just buy it.....simples
  16. Nice bass, tempting too as I've flirted with joining the VOC before. The grub screw on the bridge looks like it's about to fall out - on the D string saddle?
  17. @Leonard Smalls is in your neck of the woods. I'm from Ludlow originally, but now live in sunny Nottingham (today it is anyway) ...and welcome
  18. I use GHS pressurewounds and feel they are an excellent compromise between roundwounds and flats
