  1. I think their customer service can be hit and miss, but I sold a bass on commission through them - they got the price we agreed, I got the amount I wanted and it all went through smooth as silk
  2. Thanks but I shall decline. Walk away, nothing to see here......
  3. ..and done. All being well I'll be taking this off your hands tomorrow - it's only a 4 gadzillion to one chance 😂
  4. Ooh loverly......just signing into the Lotto website for a tenner's worth!
  5. a billy bargain this. I don't need it, but my trigger finger is itching!
  6. Ibanez basses usually have slim necks and are pretty competitive for example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1993-Ibanez-SR800-Soundgear-SDGR-bass-guitar-MIJ-Active-Electronics/232799936045?hash=item3633f51e2d:g:j8YAAOSwXudbG8vG and then there's Cort https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cort-Action-Bass-V-Active-4-String-Bass-Guitar-Red-Wood-Finish/302765575073?hash=item467e3c0ba1:g:HnAAAOSwh79bEoh8 Haven't owned or played either but they generally get good reviews
  7. You might try letting Bass Direct sell this on commission. I sold my blue one of these through them and got considerably more back after they had taken their 20%.
  8. Clucking bell.....I think you win the p*ss*ng contest BigRedX 😊 I take my best gear (Mike Lull M4V + EBS amp & Berg 12" cabs). I work on the principle that most will think my bass is a cheap copy (Mike who..?) so it's relatively safe from the grabbit & leggit brigade
  9. Thanks, that gives me an idea as I had a Sandberg myself which wasn't at all heavy. Does it neck dive at all? I tried a Jap precision once which had an alarming propensity for the headstock to dive towards the floor at any opportunity. Where abouts in South Yorkshire? I live in Nottingham, but work in Hucknall so would be keen to pop round for a try-out one evening if that would be ok?
  10. I believe I have a solution........it might hurt a bit tho One of the best threads in ages!
  11. Welcome Ian As this is a UK forum you are required to pass a test on knowledge of tea, biscuits, cricket, haggis, welsh cakes, warm beer and moaning about the weather! I see you are in Seattle, the home of my favourite luthier Mike Lull. Having said that the Marco basses look interesting - any UK stockists?
  12. Welcome, this is a fantastic forum. Keep away from the Basses for Sale section unless you want to end up thinking about selling a kidney to fund something you're GASSING over!
  13. Also excellent stuff! I might be interested in your bass soon, but waiting for someone to buy my T-Bird! I'd also need to think about the 38mm neck - I prefer 40mm Anyway, GLWTS in the meantime
  14. 6 pages of chat....Daltrey's PR people know their stuff! Quadraphenia is a work of genius imo...........discuss!
  15. And I've now bought the same pedal from Dave. Smooth easy transaction with no drama!
  16. +1 for the Fretboard and Facebook groups - there are some specific acoustic gear ones
  17. Vote cast - good luck I liked your stuff although it's not really 'me' Keep up the good work
  18. Best I could find...wall of speaker cabs? Summer of '75 - I'm the one in the pink shirt at the front
  19. Rowan at Keld Ampworks just fixed my EBS Head - the bass tone control was faulty. He did it on the spot while I waited. Very thorough and a great depth of knowledge
