A Band from my Hometown.... "Motorjesus"
-
Yeah right. Time for a Bass Meeting
-
I think the BB405 has a slightly other Body Shaping...
-
I'd like to see that with a cream pearl, or tortoise pickguard...

So friday was NBD and my BB435 arrived finally. Man what a fine bass this is. The previous owner installed a balance poti instead of Vol/Vol/Tone, wich i like. It sees to be a kind of "stacked" balance Poti. I can't hear any loss og highs in the middle position. He installed a bit more solid string retainer too. What blows me out of the water are the new pickups. I love them. Round, fat a lots of ooomph. Ther's a fresh set of dr low rider on it, what makes it perfect. Love this Bass.

Can't await to have the BB435 her. Looking to old Photos, I've found my BB's of the Past...

No Pics, no Bass, but these are from the Seller. Bass is on its Way to my Adress and should arrive until Wednesday. What you can find for 255 GBP + Shipping...🤗

I'll play it through ---> Polytune --> SD Studio Bass Comp --> VONG HPF/LPF --> Markbass Little Mark III 15th Anniversary --> FMC 112 UL and yes, next Wednesday is our next Rehearsal. There i will find out, how it fits in the Mix, but I've had a BB415, BB615 and BB425X in earlier Days, so I know about Yamaha Basses. Good Quality for Decades.

Just pulled the Trigger on a nice mint BB 435 TBS. I am exited...
-
I guess it is helpful to know the Midrange Frequencies on the Bottom Knob. It operates on Frequencies from 80Hz - 2Khz. Center Position is 600Hz

I've had a Peavey Cirrus BXP several Years ago. Looked nice with it's Tiger Eye Finish, but was extremely undefined and muddy sounding. Never ever would buy a Bass made from Agathis Wood again.

So here it is... As mentioned, i wanted a 5-string PJ Bass. I've looked on the Yamaha Basses too and could have bought a used BB735a, but this matte Black, just isn't my Cup of Tea. I've tried the BB 435 also, which is really a nice Bass. The only Issue for me would have been that i like a Balance Knob over two Volume Knobs. Then I ordered the P7 at Thomann, with the Decision to send the Bass back, if I would find anything that bothered me or did not convince me. But i am really overwhelmed, by what i receive.. The Bass came right out of the Box with a perfect Setup. I've changed nothing and the Bass plays like Butter. The Neck with the new Profile and the rounded Fretboard Edges is just a Dream. Carbon Fiber reinforced, with Ebony Fretboard, Bone Nut. The Pickups are upgraded and sound amazing and it feels that the Tuners are upgraded too. The Preamp is a really mighty Tool. For me, the P7 that I received, blows the BB435 which i've tested out of the Water... There is no noticeable Deadspot and the Bass sounds even across the whole Fretboard. I'm in Love with that PJ Thing, i guess. That Bass is a Keeper.

I've just pulled the Trigger on a Sire P7-5 2nd Gen. in Antique White. I looked on the actual Yamaha BB Basses before, but - call me superficial- i didn't like the actual Colours. I could have a BB735a used, but I have to admit, that i really don't like the matte black Finish. So I went with the Sire. Will arrive tomorrow.

Hi Frank, Yes Times are good for the gigging Bassist. There is good Equipment for nearly every Pocket (pricewise), but no..that was not an exaggeration. We compared the two Amps at a small Bass Player Meeting from a german Bass Forum and the Difference was noticed by other Bassplayers too. When we really turned up the volume to get some performance, the mesa was much more sovereign, but of Course you're right, the Mesa is in another Price Class without a Doubt

I have a Mesa Subway D800 and I really love it. Lots of Power. Your really can feel and hear, that it is the second or third Generation of Class D Amps. A few Weeks ago we compared the Mesa D800 Side by Side with the Quilter BB800 and the Mesa has blown the Quilter out of the Water. It was really a huge and without a Doubt noticable Difference. The "Lightweight Thing" was also my Intention to go with the Mesa.

Hi there... today I received my new cab from Hans from FMC. 2x12" + adjustable Horn, 600W/8Ohm, 102db, 17,8Kg, Downfire System. How awesome these Cabs are. Can't recommend them enough. Hope you like it.

Lightweight Rig. Amp 2,5 Kg, Cab 2x12", 600W 8Ohm 102db, 17,8 Kg

To be honest,...I have no real Effects on my Board. Tuner, Compressor, the VONG Filter, wich is an adjustable High Pass and Low Pass Filter + an adjustable +16db Boost on the Foot Switch, a Polarity Switch and a DI Out. The WTDI i only use as a 3-Band EQ for my passive Yamaha BBG5. It stays "off" when I play my Lakland. When I am home I use the DI Out from the WTDI to go from there into my Tascam Interface for practicing or recording at Home. In our Rehearsal Room or on Stage i use the DI Out from my Mesa.

I've read about the Handbox Fortec 312 in the last Days and find this little Amp very interesting

I would recommend to write an E-Mail to Hans and ask about the Shipping Quotes to Great Britain. As mentioned, he is on Holiday right now, but he will answer your Question asap.

Hans the Luthier from FMC is a great Guy and a Bass Player also. Always helpful if you got any Questions. He only builds Bass Cabs, because to deliver superb Quality for an affordable Pricepoint is his Passion as a Bass Player. It is a small Company with only 4 Employees as far as i know. And because you can buy the Cabs only directly at FMC he can offer the Cabs for an IMO great Pricepoint because, if you look at Tests at Youtube, the Cabs are compared with Cabs like Vanderkley, Bergantino & Glockenklang. I bought some Cabs from Hans before and they are really High Class. Superb Quality, very punchy and great sounding. Hans is on Holiday Vacation right now. He starts working again at Sept. 11th. I have a FMC 212H UL on Order right now to fit with my Mesa Subway D800 and so I am waiting for Hans to start building my Cab after his Holidays. There are two big Threads on the german Bassforum "Bassic.de FMC Infos FMC Reviews/Expiriences FMC on Facebook I hope this could help a little...

I like that Pickguard Shaping. Is it custom made, or where can you buy these Kind of Pickguards?
