Compressors

I really love my Seymour Duncan Studio Bass Compressor. The "Blend Knob" is one Feature, i won't miss.... Really cool Compressor.
2. My Laki is a 55-02 Deluxe
3. I ordered myself a FMC 212H UL (UL for Ultralight) see the Picture. Its the Cab in the Middle. 2x12 Neo Driver by SICA or Faital, fully adjustable HF Driver, 600W at 4 or 8 Ohm, 102db @1W/1m, 17,8 Kg, with Downfire Pricipe, what means the Reflex Port is in the Bottom of the Cab. Will be fired with my Mesa D800. My Cab will be ready Mid of Sept, as Hans from FMC is on Holiday right now. Pic is also done by Hans and shows 210H UL, 212H UL and 215H UL
4. +1 for that.....I would say, the only Thing you can do is: Stop dealing with that kind of stupid Event Mangers, that allow or organize a 5000 People Venue, without adequate PA and FOH Stuff...
5. Small, light and good sounding..what more can I want?
6. Also just read this..way to late, but nontheless, here is the way I've played it... (Bass is set up a little bit in Front for better Hearing) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5eG552ljKhVLTdLS2pwaG1kb28 Hope you like it
7. After a few Days of testing, i can say, I love that Rumble 350 Head
8. Just got my Fender Rumble 350 Head, wich i wanted as a Backup Amp. Sounds really good with the EQ flat and gets pretty loud too. *ilike*
9. Just wanna let you know that i've put on a Set of Flatwounds (045-125) from Adrian Maruszczyk. Really nice Feel and a Tension more like Rounds. Not that stiff as the Flats i used to know. Very reasonable Price too. The BB sounds unbelivable fat. Really nice Oldschool Tone. Love it.
10. Just received my "second Hand" bought Yamaha BB425X in Vintage White. Bougt it from MusicWorks in Legnano, near Milano/Italy. The Bass came in perfect, like new Condition, already equipped with Security Locks and with a Setup that is like a Dream. Who ever has setup this Bass, knows exactly what he does. Really awesome. Plays "like Butter" and sounds fantastic. Also i guess, these Basses in "Vintage White" are hard to find meanwhile. Hapy new bassday aon Friday 13th
11.
So, I was on my hols chillin' which gave me time to read all this thread - yep, every page.....! One thing it gave me was some good history on my Elwood 5 string. Looks like BC member AREA purchased it on a visit to Adrian's shop in 2015. Then last year I think another BC member, Bubinga5 (Andrew), bought it from him. The original spec had chrome knobs, Delano pickups & a Glockenlang pre amp. Not sure who changed the knobs & Glockenlang, but Andrew put the current Bartolini pickups in it. The knobs are now 'Fender' style & the pre amp is a Delano 2 band. I became the third owner in March this year when I travelled up Evesham way to buy the bass from Andrew. I know personal to me as I own the thing, but understanding some of its history i found quite interesting! I think AREA has switched to Sire's, & that's the brand I switched away from to get the Maruszczyk's - funny how it goes. The other i thing I noticed was that despite this being a massive thread, there's not too many contributors. I reckon it's current owners trying to keep the brand under the radar, so that Adrian's builders aren't too busy when they place an order! Lol Perhaps just an exclusive club that once you've got one you 'get it' & then trust the brand. (Ps; for anybody interested, I've started a 'Maruszczyk Owners UK' group on Facebook, to compliment this great BC thread)
Oh, I am not only into the Sires (wich I still like), but my next Bass will be a Bass from Adrians Custom Shop.....
12. Update: As I've buildt in the Tonerider Pickups in my P-Bass Project now, i have to say i like them a lot. Very vintage sounding. Pretty much as i wanted it. Reminds me of the SD Antiquity PUs. Of Course, if you're more after a modern sounding Pickup the SD Quarterpunder would be better. Price/Value is absolutely great on these Tonerider Pu's. my 2ct.
13.
Hmm, thanks for that John, and the koi explanation. I never would have guessed that Ok I'm going with the Dimarzio dp127, it's more the top and bottom end for me but thanks for the info. Seems to be a lot of lurv for them here. Thanks to everyone else for their thoughts, it's been very helpful.
Relating to your preferences, i guess i went right with the Tonriders, as i am looking for a more warm and round Vintage Tone. @Your Issue with the Output.... I will see...DC Resistance is 10.6K on the Toneriders and 10.5K on the Fender Pu's ( Original P-Pass & 62CS) wich I like.... Edit: DiMarzio DP127 ...19.16K...
14.
Hi Tom how do the Toneriders sound? Could you do a short review?
I would also be interested in a review. I have just ordered a set of TRP-1 PrecisionPlus @A .... n for my franken-P I am currently building because of their positive reviews there. They are described there as "vintage with some little extra Oomph" sounding. But as far as I read, they also get some love here too. I am excited to read some more experiences
15. For all you Guys who might ask yourself maybe "how does it look like @ Adrians House" Here are some Pics for you...
16. + 1 Love for the Carvin Amps. I love my GK700RB-II, but this little Amp is also Killer. With the Fender Neo 112 Cab perfect for practicing at Home or as a Mini Rig @ the Acoustic Band. Would like to see what happens, if I add another 112 Neo cab.
17. It has to be be a Combo? 12,5 Kg together and sounds great...plus if you need to, you can add another Cab -->
18.
If you liked the Sire V7, what about an M7? G.
Thats exactly what I would suggest...
19.
Have you tried to string it through body yet ? I believe there have been issues on other sire basses
Both of my Sire Basses, the M7 as well as the V7 are "stringed throug the Body" at the Moment and I have absolutely no Issues with it....
20. I am 6'03", = 184cm.
21. Hi Pete, I have absolute no Issues in Terms of Playability or Neck Dive. Neck Dive is equal to Zero, supported from the Position of the rear Strap Button.
22. I would prefer a Sire V7 or Sire V7 Vintage (70s Stringspacing) over a MIM Fender any Day.
23. I guess if they do a real P-Bass, I'll get GAS... @Andrew: Preamp is the same and very effective 18V Preamp like the V7 Basses have. 3-Band with sweepable Mids and passive Toneblend. Added to that, it has three Switches. The Switches are "Active/Passive-Switch" and both Pickups are seperately switchable: Parallel Mode/ Single Coil Mode(Outer Coils)/ Series Mode. That makes the Bass very versatile. Craftmanship is, as mentioned before flawless and I like the matte Finish. The Bass is very clean sounding and superdefined and with 4,1 Kg/9.0 lbs it is light. The 35" Scale makes a very good Low-B and it sounds very even across the whole Fretboard. Something different to Jazz Basses wich I dig, but I like it alot...
24. One more....
