Hi Folks, I've bought this little Pedal for myself as a Birthday Present, because I wanted a good Compressor. It is hard for me to describe my Impressions in English, but at least I'd like to say: That little "Gizmo" is "Highly recommended." I've used it for the first Time on our Rehearsal yesterday. Setting as on the Picture and ...(hard to describe) ...the Sound was so fat, so present. Nailed it the Mix and every Note so hearable. I got many Compliments for my Sound yesterday. The Blend Knob and the Mini Switch is the Feature, that nails it in this case. Awesome. Highly recommended. and here is a Video that describes it better then I could do ever....
Presumably you've given Adrian a chance to sort it out - what did he say?
I know Adrian since 2006 and I 'd bet, if he would know about the Issue with your new Bass he would be the First to say "send it back" and we'll fix it until you're satisfied for about 100%. I guess that is for sure.
SOFA SHOT MOFOS!!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS. It's a good week for basses in the Baker household.
Holy Cow, a Jake Stealthwood. Nice Bass. I guess I would be overwhelmed with the tonal Options. @ezbass:Your Jay Bass is a Looker too. Goes a little bit in the oposite Direction. "Reduce to the Max", or is it Active 2-Band? Anyway. Have Fun with your new Basses.
It's ten weeks this week; I'm starting to itch with excitement!
Nothing beats the Exitement, when a new Bass is on its Way to you..
Thats very cool Thomas, Hope your enjoying the Lakland. I suspect those control knobs will be changed soon.?
Yes. I've ordered them already, but they delivered one wrong Knob, so I've only mounted the two smaller ones for the EQ on the Elwood. The Knobs on the Lakland are just perfect.

After 3 Rehearsals, I can say it was a very good Decision to go with Alder/Rosewood instead of an Ash Body this Time. Sounds amazing. Feels like a very good Addition to my Laki 55-02 wich is Ash/Maple.

HaHaaa, hey Guys, just found this Video, where Adrian presents the Cazpar 5. At the End, the Song from 6:00 Min. So funny, Adrians Performance as well as he is a phenomenal Musician. How can I embed a Video here? https://www.youtube....h?v=G6imbpSnNA0
Something is telling me to try flats on this, I've never really used them before, anyone have any recommendations for a flats newbie?
Many People prefer the Thomastik Jazz Flats or LaBella Flatwounds, but I am a Flat Newbie too. I've tried the D'Addario Chromes, but they are a bit stiff and have lots of Tension. Anyway. Soundwise they were good.
I'm going for a custom Speesy next I think, Mensingers are the same builder right?
Yes, Mensiger builds all the Maruszczyk Basses and Guitars. I've tested a Mensinger Pike 5-String with Bassculture Pickups and a Noll Preamp/EQ. Phantastic Neck, phantastic Bass. Here in the Picture the 3rd from left. This One.... Amazing Bass. Oh Man, but I bought another One....two Days ago.... but there is Birthday in April
Surely that will mean fighting other people for a go on the sexiest basses?
Na....It is all about having a good Time together....

As mentioned, the 18th of June would be a good Date, as there is a big Party with lots of Music, other Bassplayers from all over Europe and Barbecue at Adrians House....

If I get "pokey" right, i would say "No". They sound more "fine" more "noble". If anyone comes to visit Adrian, give me a PM. Maybe we could meet @ Adrians Showroom

Hey Guys, Indeed I compared the different Pickups. The Maruszczyk Pickups are very hot. They have more Output then the Delanos, or the Häussels and they have some "Dirt" in their Sound. The Delanos sound more clean and even. More "civilized". The Häussels are mostly buildt in the passive Basses, as they bring out the Passive Tone best. That were my Impressions. All are very good Pickups and it depends what you're after. By the Way: I tested the Basses with an "Arnold" Amp Head. That is a very, very good Amp Head.

Hi there all, I am back from Adrains Showroom in Aldenhoven and I've been ordered to say kind Regards from Adrian to all of you. Adrian feels very happy that his/teir Basses are so successful in the UK too. We've had a nice Afternoon. Adrian is such a kind and funny Guy. It feels like you're talking to a Friend. We've had a Coffee ant talked about this and that and of Course I've tested a few Basses. To be honest, I was tempted by the "White Rabbit" Basses wich look so awesome in Real. Absolutely stunning. There is a big Party in Adrians House on 18th of Juni, with lots of Live Music, Workshops, Barbecue and so on. So feel free to come. Some Impressions.... Bass Heaven is here... ...and you enter the Showroom. ( I let the Pics talk now...) Something sparkeling... Here is, where you can test the Basses... Two Testobjects... ...but after I played some Basses I have felt, that an Alder/Rosewood 5-String would be a good Addition to my Ash/Maple Lakland 55-02 and so I went with the blue One. I guess it is not a real LBP it is more vivid, and a bit darker I guess, but I like it, so what? Just came back from a Rehearsal and what should I say.... It is a great Bass. But I will change the Knobs as ever to some black Jazz Bass Knobs, wich are better readable. I'll tell him your Regards. Of Course. And to be honest, to take a Look on those LPB Elwoods, is on my "To-Do List" too, as well as those "White Rabbits" as I'd like to compare the Delano with the Häussel and Maruszczyk Pickups with active and passive Elwood 5-strings

Today Afternoon, I'll go to Aldenhoven, to visit Adrian in his Showroom. Maybe I'll take my Camera with me, and to be prepared an empty Basscase.

Here is a 12" Cab Shootout. With a Glockenklang, Vanderkley, Bergantino and a FMC Cab. But this One has a normal Speaker and a Tweeter. Mine has a Neodym Speaker and the 6". https://youtu.be/6-m6SAIiYnU

Morning, First Rehearsal with the new Cab was great. Plugged in and connected to my Gallien Krueger 700RB-II it was audibly quieter as my 2x12". No Wonder. Half the Size Cab and 1x12" instead of 2x12" GK 700RB-II was set --> Gain 12:00h, Contour 08:30h EQ, Neutral, only Low Mids slightly boostet, Boost and Woofer on 09:00h. Last both I have on 11:00 now. The Amp delivers 320W/8Ohm, The Cab can handle 300W/8Ohm, Fits perfect. Bass was my Lakland 55-02. The 6" Level Control was set to 4 and on the Backside Panel switched to "Lo",with a slightly Midboost @ 1Khz. I simply love this Cab and I am very impressed. So superdefined. Nothing muddy, nothing boomy. Fits into the Mix just perfect!!! Every Note stands like a "1" and was so hearable. Let's say, I am very happy with this Cab and for sure I will get a second One in April, when I celebrate my Birthday and I am pretty sure, that two of them can nearly handle every Stage Situation. Hans, from FMC told me, the Cab needs 10-20 Hours of playing before it gets its final Dynamic and Homogeneity. Can't imagine that it gets even better...

Hi there, Yesterday I received my first of two Cabs from Hans Struck, The Founder and Builder of FMC Cabs. We've had some kind Mail Contact before. I've told Hans what was my Idea for the Cab and he gave me some Recommendations. I don't like those harsh Superhighs, and so this Cab has no Tweeter/Horn, but an additional 6" Speaker, wich goes up to 10KHz. The 12" Speaker is a Neodym Speaker by Sica and it handles 300W/8Ohm. 99db 1W@1m, Weihgt of the Cab is 14Kg The 6" Speaker is adjustable from the Side (wich I like) and on the Backside, on the Input Panel with two Speakon Inputs, is an additional Switch for the 6" "Lo - Off - Hi" . Switched to "Lo" you got a little "Midboost at 1Khz, Off is Off and switched to Hi the Cab is linear up to 10KHz Today in the Evening, I will have the first Rehearsal with this Cab. The Plan is to have a second One for my other Band and to put them together, maybe for bigger Venues (but we also do In Ear) Some Pics.... Ha, next Week, I'll visit my "Friend" Adrian in his Showroom in Aldenhoven. It is about 35km from my Home and ist's always fun to talk, and maybe jam with Adrian. We have a Coffee together and talk about Basses, Musik and everything. He really such a gentle Person. So many great Basses in his Showroom. It is always hard, to leave him, without a new Bass. Lets see, if i can do it this Time.....

All I can say is, It was a Pleasure to deal with Andrew. We've traded our Basses and everything was Top Notch. So, Ladies & Gentlemen if you'd like to get in Business with Andrew, you can't go wrong.
