1. Galeazzo Frudua is a, in Italy well known Bass and Guitar Luthier for more than 20 Years. In the Past he has buildt Custom High End Basses, but with the GFJ Basses he wants to bring an affordable Line, wich is buildt in Korea. That's what many Luthiers do... Such as - Lakland - Sadowsky - G&L - Ken Smith - Overwater ...tbc. That the Price stays in an affordable Range is about the Fact, that you can purchase these Basses only at Frudua direct and not in any Stores and (I'm sorry) the Fact that Gelazzo Frudua is not well known in GB means not much. Ask an Italian about Sei Basses. I bet it's the same Thing. Nontheless Sei Basses are great Instruments. I'm a Player, not a Collector and so the Name on the Headstock is more or less unimportant to me. I don't buy a Bass with its Resale Value in Mind. But like everytime. Everyone should do as he likes to....
2.
very interesting. I'm not sure having 'Directdeal' on the headstock is great from a marketing POV, though..
No Problem with that, because it's so tiny. Hard to read.
3. Didn't the look nice? Also the Specs. Dave Marks (Member here as well) has one. I like the GFJ5. What they don't say (Don't know why) is, that they build in Pickups from DiMarzio. Plenty Videos on Youtube with Dave Marks playing them and so I might say they sound awesome there. Frudua Direct Deal
4. All the Best with the Sale. Nice Bass. But I have to say that you get this in Alpine White with Chrome Pickup Covers for 220,- Eur. (!!) NEW at Musicstore Koeln in Germany.

10. I'm pretty sure you know that. You don't know exactly why, but you think, maybe it's Time to try something new. Especially because I have another Lakland here. My Main Axe. This nice 55-01 is my Backup Bass, but GAS is rising these Days. For Example when I've seen the "Overwater by Tanglewood Conteporary Jazz 5" So I decide to make a Try if someone wants to Trade. The Lakland is in very good Condition and sounds very nice and versatile with a tight Low B. The Pickguard has som few Marks, but I'm very careful with my Basses. Tradeobjects can be Basses with a more Classical Look/Design. Must be 5 String with a wider Stringspacing and active Electronics, so as the above named Overwater by Tanglewood Bass is for Example. Feel free to show me your offers, This is the Bass I'm talking about to trade.....

Good Luck for the Sale. A beautiful Bass. I'm after a Italia Torino bass in Red- or Goldsparkle. Have to save some Money and find one. Nontheless, good Luck.
15. At least i decide to keep it.

I've got another one and there is the Feeeling to want something "different" so please tell me what you got, wich Bass you like to trade. - only straight Trades. No Money in any Direction - Must be another 5-String Bass - active Basses prefered (but please offer your passive Basses also - a DJ5 in White would be great!)
17. Oh yes...Lakland. A Thread I may join. I dig the Lakland Sound and love it. My newest Addition ]..and both of them.... 55-01 & 55-02
18. The Dingwalls are amazing Basses, but at least I sold my Afterburner-I again. When I´ve played it alone at home it was really fantastic, but I couldn't get it right in the Mix with my Band. Sounds weird, but in that Situation, I liked my 55-01 better. The Lakland was warmer, rounder with more funky Feeling. Once more when we´re playing Soul and Disco Stuff... So, as I said, I sold it. I've bought another Lakland a 55-02 Deluxe and I'm happy as can be. Very versatile, great sounding and a really good Addition to my 55-01. The Dip-Switches on the Preamp, to set the different Center Mid-Frequencies are great at the 55-02
19. Some more....
20. With this two Options, I would go with the Lakland 55-02 by far. I've read many Times, that the Electronics in the MTD are a real weak Point. For my Taste, the 55-02 is the definately better Bass. I have a 55-01 and I love it. Ah, ive played G&L Tributes L200, the 4-String Version and I don't have liked their Sound. Another Option, if you like it, would be the Dingwall Combustion Basses. I think you should get them in that Pricerange. A few days ago, there was a nice green one here in the "For sale" Thread for 900,- GbP, if I remember right. The Low-B @ Dingwall Basses is without a Doubt, the best you can get. really cool Basses.
21. Stunning Basses. Clarity, Warmth, Punch and Playability...It's all there. Here is my Afterburner-I wich arrives today. Weight is 3,9 Kg
22. Today the Yellow DHL Truck stops in Front of my House and out of it came this amazing Bass..... Just a few quick Shots. So may I have a No. please... Sounds absolut sweet and mighty. The passive Electonics with the PU Selector with thr Toggle Switch is so flexible. Clear, warm and always punchy. A real great Bass. The Craftmanship is really amazing. Absolute flawless and the Finish is Killer with a stunning Flamed Maple Top. I love it.
