1. MXR Bass Compressor Doesn't need much in the way of introduction round here - great compressor with indicator lights that show how much the signal is being squashed. In excellent condition - a couple of very small scuffs on the front edge. Velcro on the bottom, no rubber feet. Price includes 2nd class "signed for" postage. Payment by bank transfer or Paypal (either gift or you cover the fees). No trades, etc. etc.
2. Started out as my first initial, wife's first initial, first kid's first initial and second kid's first initial. Third kid arrived and "anzoj" would have been silly - so it became anzoid...
3. Just found the Donald Trump headstock:
4.
Happy to oblige. Nut width is 38mm and from the middle of the E to the middle of the G at the bridge saddles is 57mm.
Thanks
5. Can't seem to find this anywhere else... can you tell me the nut width and string spacing at the bridge please. Thank you
6. Ah nuts, if this had been a four string I'd have been round your place to buy it tonight Lovely looking bass and GLWTS!
7. He's probably going to make us wait six months for a review... just to keep in the spirit of things so far. We need this review!!!! Enquiring minds want to know how TE this really is.
8.
Me too. It's a shorty as well remember. DOH!
I didn't even register that So maybe a DBE B string would work... Anyone fancy buying one so we can find out?
9. So, is this the first BC poll to get 100% on one question? Or just a dumb poll... Thanks guys, I now know which is which - BC has given the definitive answer!!
10. OK, time for a dumb question... I see references to the back pickup and the front pickup on two pickup basses. Which is the one nearest the bridge - front or back? Because I think I've seen "back pickup" used for either... (and vice versa).
11.
I wonder if that drop tuner (E to B was quoted) takes a single ball end string. That would be useful in the real world where there is little choice in DBE low-B strings.
I'm guessing that it would - the detuner looks like a standard Hipshot type model with the main tuning key replaced by a rather ugly nut (couldn't they have capped it better??). The only question would be whether the grip at the bridge end would take a standard sized ball end - DBE strings (as you no doubt know...) have different balls either end, with the bridge ones for a Steinberger style bridge being a couple of mm larger across than the neck end. My concern would be that a smaller ball would slip - looking at photos of the bridge/body on the Fodera website it's kinda hard to see if they're using a different ball end. Though having said that... you'd be hard pressed to find a DBE B string that you could trim the headstock end off and still have enough string left to wrap round the post. So, they're either using custom sets (eeek), a standard B string, or I'm really overthinking this
12.
Ok, I've got to ask, why's the B string windey?
Just worked out why... missed the picture first time round. Here's one of the back of the headstock:
13. One from Fodera (http://www.fodera.com/imperial-mini-mg/ - Imperial Mini – MG):

16. Does this require mods to the bass - i.e. a strap button on the lower horn?
17. Dave bouhgt my MXR M81 Pedal - great communication and instant payment. Thank you!
18.
Nothing, I was actually looking at an entirely unrelated seller. Better have my cocoa, get to bed early and stay away from the internetz...
OK, that actually had me hunting in the emojis for a ROFL icon - and feeling relieved too. Buy with confidence folks!! Probably...
19. Just sold an MXR M81 pedal to Dave - great communication, instant payment. Easy
20.
I'd recommend checking their feedback before purchase.
OK, I confess complete ignorance on that one - 100% positive, looks like a dealer(?), what did I miss? Is it the dealer part + claims of RSI? (Sincere question - I wouldn't want to put anyone wrong on something like this.)
21. 2007 custom job with maple board... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Warwick-Custom-Shop-Fortress-Bass/182743698677
22. Sometimes you have to get rid of one you don't want to - along the lines of "oh well, life happens...". So, with some regret, putting my Yamaha RBX1000 up for sale - bought from Bagsieblue only recently (http://basschat.co.u...-years-ago-sold). In superb condition and sounds awesome. It's got to be either this or my Bass Collection but with all the mods made to that I'd never get the money back. So - 1980s Yamaha RBX1000 top of the line Japanese model. A few bangs and scrapes - bit of buckle rash on the back but otherwise in absolutely great shape for its... Nut: 40mm. Bridge spacing: 19mm. My kids are younger than this bass... but the bass sounds better (and gives me less hassle). Pick up from Frome in Somerset. Shipping would be £20. I also have a Hiscox Liteflight case going spare for £50 for added protection, otherwise it'll come well packaged in a brown cardboard box.
