I know they did use lots of different basses but that Hofner one is probably the most famous and yes they are great basses to play, I don't personally own one YET but I play my friend very often. Sorry this happened to you but there is not alot you can do except for leave negative feedback or you could as a couple of people said make a payment through papal. Don't be scared about losing your money because if he refuses to refund you, you can just claim it back through PayPal within 45 days.

I would do that but I like the pickups like the matte black one you showed me a picture of and not if the ones with the plain bodies. BTW thanks for the help everyone!!

It's looking like it wouldn't matter about the UK customs because it doesn't seem like many people would buy one.
