  1. Nice looking bass, and a fair price! How does it compare to the pre-EB?
  2. Ah yes, they are thinner on Mustangs. Not sure why but I assumed we were talking about a Precision or Jazz bass. My mistake! Schaller do make some for yours though. Have a look on the website. Cheers...
  3. Thank you Jono, my sizes with the tape measure were pretty good then it seems!
  4. Here we go... Top left screw hole to top right is 3.3 cm centre to centre top right to bottom right 3.6 cm btm right to btm left 2.5 cm btm left to top left 3.6 cm I think the real size is probably imperial but these are the cm versions. Cheers...
  5. Hi, I can measure them for you later, but they are exactly the same size as the Fender ones. They will definitely fit a 73 no problem at all. These came out of a 75. Schaller were making the Fender tuners for Fender in the 70s. These are just newer versions of those.
  6. Oh I see! Interesting...maybe he likes a heavier headstock end? I've seen a lot of people add a weight to the headstock to increase sustain - I've never tried it myself. Fender even make a clip on weight now. I've never seen the problem myself. Cheers...
  7. Interesting question? Each tuner weighs in at 103g The whole bag of all the bits is 461g - that's in a light jiffy bag. Are you thinking about postal costs? Thanks...
  8. Not trying to bump the thread early but here are the measurements for you: On the callipers these are 0.554" (14.07mm) diameter inside and 0.745" (19.06mm) outside. The top flange is a little wider but sits on top of the wood so not a problem. Size of flange is the normal Fender size. Thanks...
  9. I'm not sure. I think Schaller tuners are a narrower bore than Fender so that should be OK on the inside. My Schaller BMFLs did fit through the bushing holes OK. It was the bushings that were too big for the basses holes. Bear in mind the size of the outside on these bushings is bigger than the real vintage Fender ones. You could use a cello reamer to install them though. I just didn't want to do that on mine. Cheers...
  10. I have two sets of genuine Fender bass bushings available. I bought them to put on a 1975 and a 1976 P Bass but they don't fit! These ones are slightly too big. Still in the packaging not opened. I only received them yesterday! I think they fit reissue vintage basses. Please check if you're not sure. They should fit Fender vintage style basses from 1999 onwards. The part number is 0019509049. Very hard to find these in stock here in the UK. £8 per set inc postage. 11. Another excellent transaction with Simon. A mighty fine chap indeed. Many thanks Simon, always a pleasure.
  12. Just bought a shield plate from Simon. He went to considerable lengths to get it in the post to me in good time. Much appreciated - great seller.
  13. I am not asking £80. I am asking for £60 for the set. I can't change the mistake above! One set of shiny Schaller BMFL bass tuners. These have Schaller engraved on the back rather than Fender. Clover leaf as 70s Fender basses. I should add the screw holes (and screws) fit directly into Fender basses from 1968 - 1976 with no extra holes required.
