1. Really tempted to put a deposit down on another one if there prices are this affordable... 2 tone sunburst Rosewood fingerboard MOP block inlays and two P pickups. Lovely.
2. Saw this over on Twitter, More details would be helpful.
3.
It should be 8lbs 13, I believe. My baby was just born bang on 4kg a few weeks ago! Haha. They measure metric, but also state imperial, as people still want to know lbs and ounces when weighing babies, and basses too it seems. Anyway, a couple more longish gigs this weekend and my shoulder is painful after recent neck and back problems. It might be time to start thinking about an Elwood L5 little more seriously...
I haven't even got mine yet and I'm contemplating another one...
4. Anyone know if Sire are going to do a Fretless? A Fretless is on my GAS list now...
5. Just saw this on Thomann, does this mean Fender Japan are back and making things again? https://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_classic_70s_p_bass_owh.htm Got some GAS that I thought was cured now, dammit.
6.
I'm just about ready to receive mine I think - it's about 10 weeks for the build....and it's been just over ten weeks....so hopefully I may have some nice pics and a review to post soon. I've gone for a 5 string Jake PJ. Whoop
Looks like there's a few of us in the Toon that's getting a few of these made. Pretty cool stuff.
7. Paying the deposit for my Jake now! Woo!
8. Mine's going to be less than 4KG. Not sure what that equates too.
9. A fretless/6 string Happy for amplifiers though.
10. Should be putting a deposit on mine soon, depends when Adrian gets back to me, he asked for neck measurements so I sent them along. As of today he's not replied. So we'll see! Pretty excited to join you all though.
11. Yeah, gonna pay the deposit once I've measured the neck. How would I do it and what would I do this with?
12.
I ordered mine blind simply because I trust WoTs appraisal of them, largely because we both came from playing early 70's Fenders. Si
Yeah I'm trusting the forum with this judgement too, I see a lot of experienced BC'rs recommending them lately.
13. Just put an email in for it! Adrian's comms are excellent. A slight language barrier, but that's to be expected. Really excellent stuff all round though.
14. Never seen an ESP bass for sale sadly, I love my ESP Alexi though.
15. Yeah, bought my CTM100 from them as it was the cheapest around. Good pricing and quick delivery, can't comment on support and customer service though.
16. Martin at Stoneham maybe? He's my go to guy for amplifier stuff.
17. Interesting idea. I'm interested in this for sure.
18.
Do what that inner bass demon is telling you.... I denied that voice for months and eventually caved in. Treat yourself to a custom built bass you deserve it!!
Been denying it for a while cause of other bits of GAS, but I can't afford it right now sadly, with paying for rent with a rehearsal room and other stuff, so it'll be a couple of months before I can even start to think about it. But it'll be worth it, I'm sure.
19. Not bad, not bad at all. I'm not hearing the Maiden in there, but your singer is great. If you're ever in the North East and need a support band give Shard Of Ruin a shout! We'd happily do it.
20. Thought I'd say hi! From Newcastle here. Welcome to the forums!
21.
go to speak to adrian, his quality is second to none... and he'll build whatever you need for NO money.
Might just do that, there's a few emails on the website. I'm assuming Adrian's is the one to use?
22.
go to speak to adrian, his quality is second to none... and he'll build whatever you need for NO money.
There's a few emails on the home page, guess I'm sending Adrian an email then?
23.
Squier Vintage modified PJ?
Not sure if they have maple as an option. Guess I'm going to shoot Adrian an email about a custom build
24.
Just go to Maruszczyk and get it over with...
Yeah thought this would be the response, but I just wanted to see what other options were available before I went and shot the email off.
