1.
We're trying to sort out a show at the Schooner in Gateshead for next year sometime, you're most welcome to come and meet it Find us on facebook (link in my sig) and keep an eye out for gig announcements up your way
I will do!
2.
she's glorious! You can't quite see from the pic of the front but both pre and master are set to about 10 o'clock...fills the room with lush bass and makes fixtures, fittings and fillings rattle The AD200b just makes my old p basses with flats and my old Guild B-302 sound perfect, rich, full and fruity sounding with plenty of depth but without being flappy. Those orange cabs are darn good for a 1x15 too!
Oh lovely! How does it sound compared to a Bass Terror if you've ever tried one of those? Was wanting one of these at somepoint, but... The differences in wattage make my choice a bit tricky.
3. Seeing that made me have a slight loose bowel movement. Looks earthquakingly loud. How does the AD200B sound? Been wanting one of those for a while now.
4. Hey guys, so I'm looking to go big with my CTM 100. However car space, stage space, house space and my back are an issue. However, I was wanting something for home use whilst I used the Barefaced stuff for gigging. I was fancying a 4X10 (Barefaced don't make on of those sadly) and I spotted some of the Ashdown ABM cabs. However the more expensive ones are made in the UK and the other ones I think are Far Eastern made. I can't seem to find any difference aside from the location of being made. Are the speakers different and such? and are the UK cabs worth the price tag?
5. Surprisingly good. Two support bands dropped out and it was us and an acoustic act. Who brought a good crowd, our drummer has friends (Shock horror) and they enjoyed it too. We had fun on stage, which is a plus and my Ashdown and Barefaced sounded great. Pretty good stage sound, not overbearing like my Orange is. Also got a video too. It's a shame it's from a small condenser microphone. But hopefully it'll get what we do across. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqQsbCaZFOo
6. Looks lovely. You've made me very tempted, but I need a new super compact first!
7. Would you be happy with posting to Newcastle? Will have to check fundage first though (And then try to get it past my rents...)
8. Hey guys, curious about something. I've never been in a function band before and I was looking at them. Is there a general rate of pay for them or is it whatever the venues/owners decide to pay or do the bands set the rates themselves? Was curious about auditioning for a few and seeing if the pay was worth it. Thanks guys!
9.
If you can't lift it it doesn't matter how good it sounds. Don't torment yourself. I believe Ashdown valve amps sound pretty good with Barefaced cabs. . . and there's always a Retro410, 610 or 810.
They do indeed, I love mine with my Supercompact.
10. Lovely basses, jamming on mine right now. The V Jazz is also very nice, I'm guessing you've got one of those too?
11. Taken it to a four hour bass lesson and on public transport, plus it's cold compared to my house. Will give a report back about noonish with a video this evening once I get my camera out!
12.
The NM has a different shaped neck from a standard P bass, I think its a "slim C" shape? A much better fit for me.
Does it? Cool, yeah the Harris has a U and feels very chunky compared to what I'm used too! Will do a video on the bass tomorrow, as I'm shattered from a long day today!
13.
Cool bass. Nearly bought one but I liked the neck on the Nate Mendel better.
Why was that? Was that one much slimmer?
14. Gassing for another cab. The Harley Benton 4X10 I use is pretty woeful.
15.
Is that a slab body or is it an optical illusion??
I think it's a slab body but I'm not one hundred percent on it! It's a looker for sure though, now how do I embed images?
16. It's pretty tasty. Will update the OP once I've played it a bit more so I can give a proper impressions of it. But it's pretty good. Edit: weird. The pic doesn't want to upload from Photobucket, so here's the link! 17. I keep going back to my Squier's, just fantastic workhorse basses.
18. Yeah, it's A LOT heavier than I was expecting. I should have asked about weight.
19. Had mine for the last few hours, seems lovely enough. Will take it to practice in a couple of days and then make the thread. It's heavy though.
20. It does? I've never noticed it. But I don't seem to pick up little details like that. Maybe it's a cost thing, I don't know.
21. Got a P bass coming today, pics once I get it!
22. I caved and bought the Harris I was gassing for. Will post a new thread when I get it.
23. Brilliant, some good info here. Will report back on the bass tomorrow!
24. Any sign of a 2015 bash? Would love to turn up to one!
25.
Got one too and I love it. I'm not interested in football so the white west ham logo doesn't bother me. It plays really well and I think it looks great. It's a signature bass that gets you as close as possible to Steves own axe. That's why Fender released it with the West Ham badge on it so its identical to Steves favourite bass!
Is that the bass that was refinished quite a few times? Not up to date on our Arry's history.
