1. Also my Sansamp VT has been invaluable. Can't imagine going to a gig without it.
 2. Ninety quid for ANYONE is stupid money unless it's for someone like Prince (RIP) or The Stones. Highest I've ever paid for anyone was Seventy Five for Maiden, just unfortunate about their support band. Now has anyone seen that 2K fan package?
 3. Had a builder of Adrian's contact me via Facebook, looks like they might be able to offer fanned fret Jake's soon. Yum. Also I'm almost at the end of week 6... The wait for this one hasn't been that bad, but I find myself staring at leather sofas!
 4.
If there's nothing in the output of the chorus it won't work, those effects won't be in your setup. You have ATM bass-vtdi-amp, then out of the sansamp into your effects but they dnt go to an am or di box, so will never affect the sound, put them in line before the di. For me if you are taking the Jcm for tone I'd want it heard ie mic'd up rather than the more svt sounding di but then that's just me you could put a di box in the effects loop tho to at least get the pre amp, or grab a load box with a di radial do one of these.
Interesting, thanks for the response! The amp has no FX loop! I'll have a look at the Radial box you mentioned.
 5. Alright, so I'm having a mess about with my pedals as I want to take my JCM 800 to gigs instead of my Ashdown for a bit and I've ran into a problem. The Marshall has no DI on the back, so I've decided to use my Sansamp for the DI part, now here's my set up so far. Bass-> Korg Pitchblack-> Sansamp VT-> MXR Phase 90 -> Corona Mini That's all well and good, but I'm using the Parallel output on my Sansamp to plug it into my amp and my FX's will be going into the chain after the Sansamp. Will they A) Go through the PA rather than my amplifier (I'm assuming yes) and the output on the Corona has nothing to connect to, as I'm not sure I'll ever need a quarter inch for that, however I still have a cable going into it. Will that mean the pedal will still work?

 7.
I have just got this 32" scale Jake & it is fantastic! Well balanced, comfortable. I have put tapewounds on & it sounds beautiful!
Never heard of Tapewounds before, how are they?
 8.
I love my Maruszcyzck Jake P5+. The B String is great, it just feels and sounds like all the other strings. It has a P type and a humbucker in the bridge, and I had them put a pan pot in rather than individual volume controls. Between that and a really effective tone control I find it just as flexible for my purposes as my actives.
I'm that predictable that this is what I was going to recommend.
 9. That's weird, I was thinking about changing up my rig to do this. What's the experience with this like? Was looking at getting the new Geddy Lee Preamp. The word suggests it's based on the RBI, if that's the case, does anyone know of any recommended power amps for it? I'm really new to this, is there a chance that things just won't be compatible with each other? (So in PC terms, certain parts need the right chipsets on other parts to work together, is this the case here?)
 10.
If I were The Boss, I'd ban everybody here from mentioning Sire. Ever since I found they're coming up with a Precision type instrument, I'm salivating excessively. A Precision type, in 5 string, active... aaaargh!!! take my money already!!! So, shut up already about some of the best value for money basses out there
I'm in the same boat!
 11. They sound great, could I get one just to plug into my interface or would I need a separate power amp for that? Shame there's no Poweramps along side it, what power amp would be recommended for this pre?
 12. *Please delete this post, I posted in the wrong thread*
 13.
Me too haha! That's is one stunning J bass, lovely
I want to see what my 32 scale Mensinger is like before I take the plunge on this one though. Might have to sell the Harris to afford it...
 14.
That looks lovely, I'm tempted to order a 32" scale Maruszczyk Elwood in the future.
Same here!
 15.
2 weeks down and I'm more antsy with the waiting than when I was for my first Elwood L. Maybe that's because I have an aching shoulder from a long rehearsal with the boat anchor.
I'm 5/6 weeks in. It doesn't get any easier.
 16.
Next thing you'll be staring longingly at leather sofas...
I'm already there!
 17.
I've built this bass 11 years ago (out of raw wood! ), then modified it at least couple of times. Still is my main bass (that is when I don't play upright)! All the 138 photos : https://www.flickr.c...57605372018406/
Gorgeous.
 18.
So 1 or 2 emails have been sent...
It begins!
 19.
In answer to your original post which contained the line This And this DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!
Join us! 4 weeks into waiting for my build and it's a pain. Oh well, just another few to go. Hopefully I'll get it in time for the very last gig of my course...
 20. Ask for things like Ebay/any forum id. A seller who is genuine would have no problems sending it over. But I'd wait for advice with this.
 21. Hey guys, if I was going to clean my Speesy what would I use for the body? Elbow grease? It's a gloss finish.
 22.
So who bought the Ash and Maple fan-fret Jazz from Bass Direct recently? That I have to say was a very nice bass indeed.
Wasn't me. I was gassing for it though.
 23.
Beautiful!!! (I'm of course talking about the bass )
Aw!
 24.
I'll sort some photos when my second 32" is finished - both ACGs but very different flavours
Heard lovely things about ACG, would love to own one at somepoint.
 25. My 32 scale bass, tried it at a gig a couple of nights ago and it was super. Anyone tried a 5 string 32 bass? What's it like?
