1. Just out of interest does anyone use joinmyband and is it a worthwhile tool for finding a band? (Finding it hard in my new area)
2. Yeah sorry that is probably my fault to much time reading the TB thread they all take about breakup when they mean preamp drive.
3. Cracking basses for the money really loved mine when I had it for a P it was far nicer than some higher priced models and much lighter! damn GAS made me sell it!
4. Not going to help but.... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Wal_MKI_Fretless_1982.html
5. Seen some threads on them saying the breakup kicks in pretty low and changing the 12Ax7 valves to 12AT7 to clean up the sound a little within the given head room. But a few people don't like the EQ much and prefer the YBA300 sound and headroom. Here is a thread about tones on the 200 I came across. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/traynor-yba200-tones.979322/
6. Social media is a good way to get your point across most of these big companies pay attention to bookface and tw*ter a lot more than letters and emails as it reflects on them and can be seen/followed by the General public? In fact a lot of companies now have whole departments looking out for mentions of them.
7. Bump still here and waiting for an offer (sensible obviously) ✌️
8. It's true and it's hard to find like minded people sometimes. Although I would be pretty happy to play anything really but a good dose of dark dirty blues rock would hit the spot right now BRMC style to name one of the many.
9. I'm in the process of finding a band with moving to a new area finding one is not proving easy but as I learn when and where things are locally I should get sorted. As for GAS I have settled with my bass I find it incredibly pleasing to play and find myself just picking it up whenever I pass the room it's kept in even if I'm in a rush. As for the Amp I have traded (no cash spent) for something that took my fancy and without a big outlay I should have sold and ordered a cab also. Bored or decisive either way when I find a new band the drummer will have no problem hearing me!
10. New cab ordered so make an offer
11. New Cab ordered so make me an offer 😜
12. Placed my order only a couple left at the lower price now from what Alex told me.
13. Got a hint of a fatter EB0/3 with the new edges I like it always had a soft spot for that design.
14. Listing edit to just cab!
15. Head on hold as may have traded! Cab still up for sale. £325.
16. 325ono new cab on the way so make me an offer!!!!! This is a cracking little cab has a few scrapes and marks but still very presentable. Runs at 8ohms with 600watts. Can make a Powerful setup with the right head. Here is the blurb from Orange on the cab. OBC212 HIGH POWER, ISOBARIC DESIGN Building on the success of our SmartPower series, the new OBC212 is our best isobaric bass cabinet yet. This clever design positions one speaker behind the other, creating an airtight, phase coherent chamber for outstanding projection in a more compact enclosure than a traditional 2×12. Featuring a pair of 12” neodymium Eminence speakers, 600 Watts of power handling and parallel speakon jacks the OBC212 is a perfect mate for a wealth of bass amplifier heads.
17. For 1099 you could always spend a little bit more and get a Dingwall Combustion or NG2 37inch scale will drop tune to Low C with ease.
18. Personally I think it's good (could have been a lot worse) I think they just sound like they are enjoying playing together again. Browns solo stuff had plenty of deep and meaningful content so this doesn't need to be that! Mani is on form and his playing with the roses and primal scream has always had a certain something and he is at his best locked in with Reni! I look forward to seeing them in June and hope the album builds from this.
19. So there is a small old school guitar shop in Hanley Stoke on Trent the guy has lots of secondhand gear in and usually a few basses. I popped in on lunch a few times if I could when working in the area. He had a habit of putting some of his own gear on display on the walls and one of these occasions I spotted a Gordon Smith Tbird it was his and not for sale at the time but he let me have a play and it was a real beauty! Played really well and sounded massive.
20.
Here you go matey! http://www.guitar-bass.net/features/private-collections-nick-smith-bass-desires/
some serious temptation in that collection!
21. PRICE DROP £720 type bump.
