Looking at getting whole new rig, anyone have any experience with these together or can give me any advice on whether they are a good match?http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Orange-OBC-410-Bass-Cab/G8P http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Gallien-Krueger-MB500-500W-Bass-Amp-Head/FBS I am set on the GK head as they only take a 1u rack space. Would I be better with the mb800 though?

I have this bass, http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Hofner-HCT-Galaxie-Short-Scale-Bass-Orange/J63 I love it to bits but the pickups just don't cut it for me, does anyone know if there are any straightforward pickup replacements I can buy, soundwise like the Seymour Duncan's SJB-2's, or will I need to do some serious customization, and is that even possible?!

Im looking to get a 6x10 cab, I'm really nearly set on the Ashdown ABM 610. Anybody have one or have spent a decent amount of time with one? The price point is the most attractive thing about it to be honest, does it sound a lot poorer than other 6x10's?

Anyone had any experience with these? How do they compare?

Im looking for a pedal/rack unit to even out my playing volume, I play pick, I play fairly hard, and tend to lose a lot of volume in the higher registers. Any good advice? I have looked at the boss lmb-3 limiter/enhancer, would anyone recommend it?

Some sources say I should get a 500 watt amp at 4ohms for a 4ohm 800 watt cab, others say that you need more power than the cab, so get a 1000 watt amp

[/quote] See but I have also been told that a peavey amp running 450 watts at 4ohms is fine to connect to a peavey 350 watt 4 x 10 at 4 ohms

I have read a bunch of different sources, do's and do nots etc about cab and head matching, but I cannot find any consistent info. So please, someone give me the lowdown; what wattage should I have on my cab and head at 4 ohm's? For example, to run a 6 x 10 800 watt cab, what wattage does my amp need to output at 4 ohms? Likewise, if I have a 450 watt amp, what wattage should a 4ohm cab be rated at? I know this is tackled a lot but I have seen so much conflicting information! Thanks!
